Since 2003 when I formed my Corporate Production Agency, Mindset Communications, (www.mindsetcomms.co.uk) I have been involved in corporate coaching using Live Events, Video and other communication methods to create behavioural change in large audiences. I am privileged to work with large multinationals as well as SME business owners alike. Being a business owner myself I find I can empathise easily with the ups and downs of fellow Company Directors and Senior Managers, irrespective of its size.

I had about 7 or 8 coaching sessions with Nik, on a personal basis rather than part of a business team. I wasn't sure what to expect but I immediately felt great rapport with Nik and found it effortless to open up about all sorts of topics I hadn't particularly considered before. I surprised myself a few times by expressing thoughts I hadn't consciously registered but had obviously been brewing in the back of my mind.
I'm a busy person - a parent, partner, business owner, commuter, etc - and always felt on the back foot and frustrated at my lack of personal time. So I found these weekly sessions with Nik an oasis of calm... a sacred bit of time where I could focus on myself and basically feel like I was talking to a good friend about things important to me, but a wise friend who had the skill and knowledge to guide me through techniques to understand myself better. It's important to understand that Nik never gave me advice on what I should do, but he had a way of probing that meant I always came up with the answers myself, which I'm not sure I would have done had I not gone through the exercises.
We discovered that while I had motivation and intent to improve some areas of my life, my energy was a real blocker. I realised that nothing would really change until I tackled that root problem, and that led me on a journey to discover/reverse an illness causing it, and massively rebalance my life. I asked Nik to stop the sessions while I went on that journey so I could remain focused, but we intend to resume again soon.
If I look back at the last year I can see how much has changed - I take personal time, I don't say yes to everything, I am better connected with my family, I have lost weight and I happy to live a much cleaner life now. I'm now ready to take up new challenges. And I think much of this improvement has happened as a direct result of my sessions with Nik.

Coaching & Mentoring for people who believe they can be more, but worry that they are 'going to be found out', and people in the Marketing & Communications world. Sometimes the same! Tailored behavioural change coaching and mentoring, creating a safe and powerful space for people to have the conversations they don't have elsewhere. Conversations that will give them strength, confidence and concrete plans to enjoy and increase their success in the next and even better phase of their life.
In a nutshell I collaborate with people to help get themselves moving away from "pain" and towards "pleasure". I define pain as the things in life that make us feel like we have failed or perhaps like we aren't succeeding. Maybe even the feeling that so many of us experience when we aren't achieving our goals. Pleasure, as you can imagine, represents the opposite, namely, the positive emotions which are the by-product of achievement and success. Coming from a corporate background and working in corporate behaviour change since 1996 as a Conference / Video Communications Producer and a Corporate Trainer, I myself re-trained and "layered on" some new skills in 2015. I re-trained as an NLP Business and Life Coach. I now bring my skills to individuals and teams alike. My passion is to see transformation in others. I work with individuals and with teams to release more of the latent potential which we all have inside each one of us waiting to get out. Albeit I have the advantage of being a business owner myself since 2003, and therefore I have seen the running of a business from the inside-out, I also have specialist skills and qualifications in: Business Coaching (SME to Multinational Level), Career Coaching, Resilience Coaching, Goal Setting Work, Stress Reduction and arguably my biggest passion is working in the field of Relationship Coaching. To be specific, I don't give Relationship Counselling, that isn't what coaching is, instead, I use the tried and tested coaching process to help people make changes to their own interactions with others in pursuit of building stronger and more profitable business relationships both internally (e.g. more effective leadership) as well as externally (better sales and client relationships).
Having a career that helps others. Having recently done a "strengths audit" on the Marcus Buckingham website it came as no surprise that my categorisation was as a "Teacher" and "Provider". That's pretty much why I went into coaching in the first place. How this manifests itself is in how I use my training and skillset to bring the "inner ninja" out of a client. That's the metaphor which I use to drive the brand behind my services. We all have an inner ninja inside us waiting to get out. The reason why I chose a ninja is because it represents the unconscious mind. Only when you work at an unconscious level does true behaviour change happen. Like a ninja, the unconscious works away in the background in a stealth-like manner. The skill lies in how to re-wire the unconscious and that is where coaching kicks in.
I've always been an entrepreneur. I love change. I love the challenge of doing my own thing because it means I can help clients how I want to help them without the red tape of working for a large company. And that means I can listen to the client and what they want rather than following a process dictated by working for a large company.
I'm very much in touch with my values and I hope they speak volumes as to the person I am. So rather than trying to convince a potential client through clever marketing jargon, perhaps I could keep it simple. My top 5 are: Family, Honesty, Respect for Others, Having a Growth Mindset and Helping Others to Develop. I'd love to think that this may resonate with people who may be looking at my profile.
Yes. I can either coach over Zoom / Teams etc. but I also have an online Relationship Self-Coaching Product which can be found here: https://www.successthisway.com
Remote coaching via online platforms was the only way I would deliver the product up until the UK came out of lockdown and it is still the preferred way of coaching for the moment. I also follow all Government Guidelines including being fully vaccinated in order to keep anyone as safe as possible with whom I have face-to-face contact.
