He has fantastically broad experience of playing in bands or recording in sessions which he freely passes on. I've enjoyed learning more about the theory to enable me to play more flexibly. He is very patient and willing to work out songs that I like so I can play to them. Having a lesson over Skype works well and is very convenient.

Went to Crazy Train to have pickups swapped in a relic of a Rockwood LP, not only were Crazy Train the cheapest place in the Derbyshire/Notts area, but they turned it around in a day as well as did a quick restring and setup. They didn't mind that I bought my own pickups - despite their extensive range of Seymour Duncans (a beginner like myself wouldn't notice the difference, much. After some fiddling around with the switch and dealing with a messy solder job left from the previous owner, Crazy Train sorted out my guitar in a single day and charged very little.Above all though, reason to recommend the place is the friendly service. Very down to earth, honest and out to make an honest living, rather than charging the earth. Great place, great service!
