Finding the best DJ's - (Disc Jockeys)

Are you preparing for your wedding? Planning a surprise party for your best friend? Whatever the occasion, there is a DJ to suit your needs. Once we know what you’re looking for, a range of experienced DJs will send over quotes and answer any questions you may have.

You can find disc jockeys for almost any event. Workplace parties or children’s birthdays, there is a musical master waiting to work with you to create a magical day. There are specialists that can create an amazing atmosphere for corporate events or make your private venue the greatest party in the area.

What should I look for when hiring a DJ?

DJs offer a service that can make or break an event. You wouldn’t ask someone who isn’t a professional to fix your plumbing, so why ask an amateur to run your music? It’s an essential part of every party, wedding, and corporate event that guides the evening. You don’t want someone playing the same dozen songs on repeat, and you want to make certain that the music works with the atmosphere. DJs are highly trained in perfecting this art. Most DJs can also provide their own equipment as well as offering a range of services that can cater any budget.

Working with a respected DJ is a way to make sure that one of the fundamental aspects of an event is taken care of. You should be busy socialising and enjoying your time, not fretting about song selections and whether the sound system is good enough for the venue. Hiring a local DJ is a surefire way to provide top-notch quality at any event.

Make the event yours by hiring the best local DJ's

One of the best aspects of working with a local DJ is that they can work closely with you to sculpt the event in whatever way you wish. If your wedding needs to create pauses for speeches and first dances, discuss it with your DJ. They’ll suggest the best way to seamlessly make the music merge. Does your corporate event need to energise the crowd after a long day of exhibitions? Your DJ will provide a memorable selection of crowd-pleasing tunes to make sure everyone has fun. You can go a more unusual route and hire a mobile disco, or even look into DJs that will make karaoke as entertaining as possible.

DJs are adept at catering for specific audiences. If you’re celebrating a 50th wedding anniversary, a DJ can replicate the music of the era you were wed, or keep everything kid-friendly for a boisterous young teen birthday.

How much is it to hire a DJ?

On average, a DJ in the UK will charge between £160-£350 per event. Although, this is variable depending on the DJ's setup or the type of event, such as hiring a DJ for a wedding. Get free quotes for DJ's today!

What do you love most about your job?

Not only do I get to spend my time listening to some of the greatest songs in history, but I get to meet a huge range of people. Every event is different. No two weddings are the same and corporate events can be absolutely riotous! Birthdays are some of my favourite parties to work with as you get to be a part of such an amazing diversity of styles.

How did you become a DJ?

I began by being into music more than most people as a teen. I realised I had a love for every genre and there didn’t seem to be anything I didn’t like or appreciate. I then purchased some music software and began mashing up songs. I shared them with my friends and they all loved it. I would then always be the one in charge of selecting music for car rides or house parties and it grew from there. I was a solo DJ for the first time at university and started working at the local bars and clubs. I fell in love with it. I was asked by a friend to work his Christmas party and that’s how it became a full-time job for me.

Why should clients choose you?

This event is your event. I’m here to act as MC, making sure the atmosphere is perfect and assisting you in crafting a brilliant time for all. Not everyone realises just how important music is to an event, even if it’s in the background and no one is dancing. It’s my job to cover those bases for you. I’m totally flexible with requests and will always run through the setlist and timings of the event with you beforehand. You don’t want the most active songs when people are primed for a slow dance. Music can help guide an event and I’m here to help you.

Steven came to play for my mum's birthday and was phenomenal! I gave him a few requests in advance but really left him to it, and he played the most amazing set, tailored to the guests. Everyone was having so much fun, we didn't want the party to end. Thanks again Steven, look forward to have you DJ for us again!
