Not only do I get to spend my time listening to some of the greatest songs in history, but I get to meet a huge range of people. Every event is different. No two weddings are the same and corporate events can be absolutely riotous! Birthdays are some of my favourite parties to work with as you get to be a part of such an amazing diversity of styles.
I began by being into music more than most people as a teen. I realised I had a love for every genre and there didn’t seem to be anything I didn’t like or appreciate. I then purchased some music software and began mashing up songs. I shared them with my friends and they all loved it. I would then always be the one in charge of selecting music for car rides or house parties and it grew from there. I was a solo DJ for the first time at university and started working at the local bars and clubs. I fell in love with it. I was asked by a friend to work his Christmas party and that’s how it became a full-time job for me.
This event is your event. I’m here to act as MC, making sure the atmosphere is perfect and assisting you in crafting a brilliant time for all. Not everyone realises just how important music is to an event, even if it’s in the background and no one is dancing. It’s my job to cover those bases for you. I’m totally flexible with requests and will always run through the setlist and timings of the event with you beforehand. You don’t want the most active songs when people are primed for a slow dance. Music can help guide an event and I’m here to help you.

Marc was amazing to have a part of our wedding. He made the rehearsal seamless and the wedding day even better. We had so many of our guests tell us they enjoyed the party mix. The dance floor was always full! Absolutely recommend for any event!

Okay, If you’re looking for a DJ who can handle absolutely anything a wedding throws at him, stop searching. Our DJ showed up looking so sharp that several guests probably thought he was part of the wedding party. In fact, I’m fairly certain he was better dressed than at least 75% of the attendees, and possibly the groom. Professional? Absolutely. Prepared? Without question. Playlist? Wall-to-wall bangers. The dance floor was packed all night, and when a random Spanish gentleman commandeered the microphone for an impromptu performance, our DJ didn’t miss a beat. No panic. No confusion. Just seamless adaptation, as though “surprise international concert” was already listed in the evening’s itinerary. From the first song to the last, everything was perfectly timed, flawlessly executed, and ridiculously fun. Five stars. Would trust him again with a wedding, a corporate event, or an unexpected karaoke hostage situation.

We hired Marc Mailhot for our wedding in May 2026, and he was a pleasure to work with. He was right on cue throughout our ceremony, and brought an awesome vibe during our after-party. He respected our do-not-play list despite some requests. His rate is also VERY competitive. Highly recommend.
