What I have realised through working as a disc jockey is how I can bring people joy and make special moments unforgettable. I can do this just through sharing my love of music, and that’s a fantastic feeling. I distinctly remember playing a track at one of my first gigs. Seeing everyone so excited to get on the dancefloor made me realise that this is what I wanted to do. So whether it’s a drum and bass mix or a cheesy classic, I’ll play it with a smile and put my own fun spin on it when I can.
Like a lot of people in the industry, I started as a ‘bedroom mixer’. It was only when friends started hearing my tracks that they said I should pursue it professionally. I began sending out demo mixtapes, quickly secured my first paid gig, and the rest is history!
I’ve spent a lot of time on the decks at nightclubs, but nowadays I tend to do more private parties. I do entertain at corporate events but the majority of my time is spent at birthday parties or weddings.
