Periscope Studios were recruited by Oldham Council to create two short animations that would communicate COVID-19 safety messaging whilst promoting the fact business were back open. In doing so, we created our most viewed social media posts ever and received recognition from the cabinet office for the high quality standard of the works. Looking back, I cannot describe how fundamental Periscope has been to that success and can't recommend them enough. Their creativity, drive and attention to detail is beyond reproach, seeing our project without limitations - only possibilities. It's this mindset that allowed us to connect with our audience in a new and more engaging way, at a time when their was a notable fatigue to COVID messaging. What do you love most about your job?
Creating an animation, design or illustration that we're really proud of. Seeing one of our designs in print, or seeing one of our animated videos on TV or online gives us a buzz too. We like how no two jobs are the same; one day we’ll be creating a bespoke 3D character for a TV advert, and the next we’ll be storyboarding a product explainer video, or designing spreads for a magazine.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Running our own business gives us freedom and flexibility. It also means we can see projects through from start to finish, whereas if you're an employee working for someone else, you might only work on one small part of the project.
Why should our clients choose you?
We create award winning animation and design at affordable prices. Many of our customers are still with us after 14 years of trading. All of our reviews on Bark and Google are 5 stars.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
Yes, we work remotely and provide our services online. We email storyboards and voice-over samples for approval, and upload the animation to a development website where it can be viewed for feedback as each section of animation is completed.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
We work remotely so there's no contact with the customer whatsoever. We can meet and chat virtually on Zoom or Skype if needed, and we're always on the end of the phone if there are any questions.
