I been practicing Yoga for 12 years. I believe that when yoga is incorpetaed into your life it can only bring benefits. There are so many physical benefits, building strength and muscle tone, mind-body connection, balance and mobility, self-confidence and awareness, which then lead into mental and overall well-being and total health. Yoga is a fantastic compliment to exercise as well as a stand alone movement practice.

My son joined Lloyd and his classes a few months ago and he couldn't be happier! The lessons are always different and each week they focus on a different aspect like respect, team work, positive attitude etc. I can see my son has made great progress non only physically but also exceptionally. He can concentrate more, he listens with respect, he is taking more respimsabilirue around the house and he's trying his best at things even when they are challenging. Lloyd is an amazing instructor! I have been so impressed with the classes that I signed up myself for adult classes too! We are both yellow belts now and I love to be sharing this journey with my boy!

Debbie offers lovely traditional yoga with a humorous style. She’s brilliant at adapting her classes for beginners and advanced practitioners alike. I particularly enjoy her Monday morning class as it sets me up brilliantly for the week. Debbie is a beautiful spirit and shares this unconditionally with those who choose to practice with her. Thank you Debbie for such wonderful classes xx

I’ve had pain in my hip for a couple of years, diagnosed by my GP as an arthritic right hip probably brought on by a sports injury in my youthful days. My doctor offered me anti-inflammatory painkillers which I refused (at 52 years I of age I felt I was not ready to start popping pills). Louise my wife has been going to yoga for a couple of years and has been preaching about the benefits since she started, so back in September 2017 I thought I might give it a try. I have never looked back. My flexibility and mobility have improved immensely and over six months my hip pain has steadily decreased to now being pain free.
Jo transforms the Failand village hall to create a great environment to practice yoga, this coupled with her experience and confidence manages to guide me through the stretch moves and poses and then back to relaxation with ease.
My only regret is, I should have practiced years ago! Thank you Jo. Keep up the good work!!

I have been enjoying Pilates with Helen for many years, attending from October to March on a Monday evening. Helen's approach suits all levels of age (I am one of the oldies ), experience and flexibility and makes a big difference to my core strength, balance and deportment. Well worth turning out in the dark and damp evenings.

I can highly recommend Claire-Louise’s weekly Restorative Yoga sessions that I have recently attended at the Old Library on a Monday. Claire-Louise patiently eases us all in to “arrive in the space” after we all arrive in differing states of tiredness and stress and takes the time to ask us all how we are feeling and how our weeks have been …. Then that often frazzled Monday evening feeling gradually melts away as she takes us clearly and step by step through a varied range of standing/sitting/kneeling/even lying mat routines explaining as we go which areas of the body will benefit .. and I certainly do feel the benefits in terms of feeling calmer in my mind no matter what may have been on it before coming to class and most of all the next day when I really do feel much more supple, loosened up and energised. Now I am very much looking forward to continuing next term with Claire-Louise’s new Mindfulness class which will incorporate some yoga making it a perfect blend.
Christian Henwood is a passionate Yoga & Meditation Teacher who loves to make all his practices accessible by following the simple mantra “do the simple things well!” His yoga and meditation practices are fused with self-love, mindfulness, strength, and compassion. His unique teaching style is derived from his journey from British Army Officer to Yoga Teacher and balanced with a compassion discovered when he became a father. Helping people discover yoga and enjoy its benefits in itself is a reward in itself. Plus I am lucky enough to do something that truly love.
I was a late convert to yoga; but I can confidently say that my passion for it is rooted in two key areas, namely the emotional and physical benefits of yoga. Initially, it was a persistent minor neck injury, and a realisation that at 41 years of age I needed start looking after myself, that made me pluck up the courage to try yoga. Much to my delight the physical benefits of Yoga were quickly realised, and I to this day I still relish the challenge of improving my personal daily practice. However, and very much to my surprise, it was the emotional impact that Yoga had on me that really caught me off guard. I quickly discovered that I would be hit by an emotional wave either during &/or at the end of a led class. This scared the life out of me of initially, and usually resulted in me trying to ‘man-up’ and pretend that some sweat had gone in my eyes?! It was only after I had successfully beaten a hasty retreat to my ‘ man-cave’ at the end of the class that I would realise how fresh, balanced and calm the class had made me feel. It was at this point that I became hooked on Yoga; and I am now driven to develop my own personal practice and deepen my knowledge, so that I can share this experience with as many more people as I can.
If you are looking for an friendly and approachable teacher who will hold a positive, supportive, encouraging, and safe space that is designed to enable you to unleash your inner warrior - then Christian is for you!
