The New Oriel Hall is a great community venue - I have attended various fairs, fetes, sales and school plays here. It seems to be a highly adaptable space with a good sized main hall and a kitchen and cafe area and all sorts of side spaces and rooms.
The sale yesterday was disappointing from a sellers point of view - purely due to the lack of attendees - I'm not sure if any of the crafters made any money and with an accidental breakage I ran a big loss. Still I will happily try again at a craft event at the New Oriel Hall.

We went here for a little day out driving from South Wales. Easy to get to and the parking was made easy (it's £4 but you can use card) thanks to the wardens. It was a quiet day when we went so walking around was a breeze. All the animals seem well looked after and most enclosures had some keepers nearby explaining and talking about the creatures inside. The park itself is very nice and well kept, and the gardens and plants are really great. There's plenty of areas to walk about and play with children too. There is also a little restaurant that serves nice food. The pasta I had was good. Two of the standout enclosures were the penguins/seals and the butterflies. The seals were shooting about under and above the water, and you were able to go underground to see them like I've never seen them before. The butterfly enclosure was very pretty and they were flying around everywhere, allowing you to get extremely close to them. Overall a good day out and well worth it, especially if you book online cheap!
