Rutland
After photographing over 700 weddings in his career, Alan now specialises in smaller, more intimate weddings, micro weddings, register office, elopements and other smaller weddings - enquiries welcome for wedding dates from June 2025 onwards. All of the East Midlands and East Anglia covered with a speciality of the A1 corridor of Rutland, Stamford, Grantham (including the Barn Hotel and Spa Marston), Newark (including the Gilstrap) and Lincoln (including the RO and the The Lincoln Hotel. Alan also photographs commercial and outdoor portrait sessions - thousands of press/PR shoots covered and literally hundreds of portrait sessions - no portraits are taken in a studio and there are no horrid plain backgrounds from the 1990s Alan has also been a chief photographer for the regional press, and now spends his spare time - when not at weddings or commercial assignments - recording social and documentary photography projects
It's definitely spending time to get to know the couple and their guests, and helping to guide them towards a great day and a great selection of images.
It certainly isn't anything technical - though you can rest assured after over 700 weddings I can get a great shot in any conditions
In fairness I am living the dream. From the age of around 10 when I was lucky enough to be given a camera that I had asked for - my ambition was to become a professional photographer.
From age 11 onwards I would take notes in the library from the books of great photographers - then go out in to the world and try to emulate them.
Funnily enough I have never wanted to be particularly wealthy - just to enjoy taking great shots and creating great memories.
There is no replacement for full-time professional experience. Whether it is a bright sunny day - or maybe not (!) your wedding day deserves a real professional who can get the best from your special day! All this and reasonably priced too!
If you want great shots, taken in a friendly, relaxed and cheerful (sometimes cheeky) way that inspires your guests then please get in touch.
However you want to remember your day - laughing, relaxed or maybe a little more traditional - trust me I have covered more than 700 weddings and can accommodate your day just how you want it to be.
(BTW - no secrets, no hidden extras, no watermarks across images, no running away at 7pm if you've booked all-day, no demanding you pretend to dance early....and when you ask for a quote it will be all-inclusive!)
All booking enquiries, quotes and discussions can be made by email, messenger, FaceTime, Skype, teams or zoom.
You are allowed to suggest a 'phone call instead!
All images are supplied in (password protected) online galleries with an advanced ordering system for friends and relatives to view.
