Find a Wedding Photographer in West Bridgford

I was very lucky to have known Nathan O'Brien outside of his photography business in a shared workplace, as shortly after I'd gotten engaged, I cheekily asked if he had any availability on our wedding day. Thankfully he did! And we have many wonderful photos as proof of that. I'd known from the get go Nathan O'Brien Photography would do a fantastic job (I'd seen snippets of his work beforehand after all!) but he also has such a fantastic sense of humour and a real eye for detail. Combine that with passion for his work and countless hours put into it, and you have a top class photographer right there. We were initially uncertain which package to pick but in the end decided for 10 - 12 hours. It was worth every penny - trust people when they say the day goes by in a blur! Nathan captured so many wonderful shots, posing and candid, and it was so touching to see parts of the day that I didn't get to see myself, (absolutely love the photo of Mandy Shaw and Kirk Trodden stood outside the church by the way, that was a master shot!). Nathan was always on the ball with communications and very accommodating to requests. He blended in beautifully with the families and friends at the wedding and I think many had a laugh with him! I've looked over the photos myself many times; I honestly can't get enough of them! The wedding photo reel video ending with the shot of our wedding invitation pinned by magnets on my parents' fridge was such a clever little detail, and also the cherry on top for me (that poor fridge has supported magnets for many years, and that sentimental combination of something old and something new is just the kind of detail that Nathan is able to spot with his photographer's eye). If you're ever looking for a photographer, for wedding or otherwise, look no further than Nathan O'Brien Photography. I was delighted when I was able to 'bagsy' him to be our wedding photographer, and even more so when I saw our photos. And if you've made it all the way to the end of my rambling review, please trust me when I say you will not find a better (or funnier) photographer! Tim photographed our May 2021 ‘micro’ wedding at Ashridge House and we couldn’t recommend him highly enough. We’re now looking forward to having both Tim and Lou photograph our bigger celebration in September. We were recommended the Georges and, after meeting over Zoom, we were really taken by what they suggested and how friendly and helpful they were. They were particularly helpful in getting us to streamline our formal photo requirements, which we had been struggling with. The connection and ease we found with both Tim and Lou shows through in the final photos. We don’t tend to take very good photos and pull silly faces etc., and Tim knew exactly what to do to get us to relax and capture the type of shots we were looking for. On a practical note, Tim was consistently communicative and helpful throughout the entire process. His eye for detail was fantastic and he handled both the preparation and the formal photos wonderfully, knowing when to blend into the background and when to step in to get the best pictures. The flexibility shown by Tim and Lou also deserves a special mention. Our wedding was postponed twice due to COVID and the Georges have been fantastic, coping with every curveball thrown at them calmly and professionally. We will treasure the photos of our special day forever. Thank you Tim and Lou!

Marian photographed our wedding in May 2022- we were super happy with the results - the photos are absolutely lovely, he managed to capture the spirit of the day really well and get photos of all the guests, yet we hardly noticed he was there! We found Marian randomly through a internet search but would have no hesitation recommending to others now. He was great! Thank you!

Absolutely LOVE the whole experience! This is the second time we’ve been and we have another 2 shoots booked in over the next year from our ‘hello baby’ package. Our children love the experience too as it’s so relaxed and natural there is no false smiles. Caroline and Karl really are amazing at what they do and capture moments you wouldn’t be able to capture yourself. The prices are very good value too. The only down side is trying to pick the photos you want as you will want all of them!

Rhys offered to record our wedding on video and wow we were blown away by what he has done for us. Very touched. How he's put it all together is amazing, he incorporated our wedding song and a verse that was sent to us by a family member. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he's very talented, we highly recommend

Wow!!! What can I say. We have just received our wedding photos. They are absolutely amazing. I have been to a few weddings where geoff kirby photography was the photographer of choice. Their photos were amazing. We instantly knew when my husband proposed that we wanted Geoff to capture our day, and capture it he did. Geoff had alot to contend with! We had the windiest day in August!! 34 children and he handled it with pure ease and professionalism. But not only that he fitted in and had a joke with everyone which put everyone at ease when they were infront of the camera. From the nans to the kids everyone loved Geoff which is why Geoff captured our day effortlessly. I would recommend Geoff to anyone. Once again Geoff thank you for giving us the most amazing photos to cherish our day forever!!

Peter did a fantastic job at our Wedding. Not only is he excellent value for money (seriously some of the guests said they payed ten times more for someone else and it wasn't as good) but he tries his absolute hardest to gets awesome pictures for you. I really cannot overstate the enthusiasm and professionalism he showed to getting us the best pictures. He is very discrete, often we had no idea where he was then we would catch sight of him on a balcony taking a photo down on us, or kneeling down at one of the tables to get a photo of us with with the favours in the foreground. Overall excellent work and very natural photos. The editing of the photos was good and to a high quality, and the turn around on getting the photos after the wedding was very quick. The only possible improvement I would suggest is maybe he isn't quite bossy enough. As I say he was very discrete and by doing so there may have been one or two occasions where we may have got a better photo had we been ordered around a little more. You cannot have it both ways, and for us he was almost perfect, staying in the shadows and getting natural photos, but that may not be for everyone.
