I’ve been utterly obsessed with photography since I was young. When I was growing up, I experimented with many different styles and equipment. I originally wanted to be a filmmaker, but when a friend asked me to organise a photo shoot for her wedding, I fell in love with the process. I’ve now run my specialist wedding photography studio for 15 years, and have really honed my wedding photojournalism skills.
Even though most people think of Manchester as just a sprawling industrial city, there are some truly beautiful places to shoot. A lot of my wedding photography takes place outside Manchester Town Hall, Manchester Museum, and alongside the canals – we are the ‘Venice of the North’, after all! Of course, I’m happy to travel anywhere in the Manchester area to take photos of the ceremony itself. If you’re having a wedding a little further out, I’ll travel into the neighbouring counties too.
