With an African heritage I have been exposed to a vast array of colours and beautiful prints. I am extremely tactile and adore fabrics, I thoroughly enjoyed my Textile degree course at university of Derby. I was privileged to have my woven fabric samples displayed at Première Vision Paris University stand to showcase the quality of student's work.
The ultimate goal after being featured in the New Designers graduate newsletter for innovative and contemporary woven fabric designs during my final year, was to create my own designs and make customised menswear collection for city gentlemen. This ambition led me to enrol for the Bespoke Tailoring course at Savile Row Academy.
Working in the corporate world also gave me the opportunity to experiment with my unique and individual style, however I was never satisfied with the options available in the retail shops. Occasionally through browsing several high street shops and boutiques, I get inspiration to create my own garments unique to my taste and style. I got bored of dull colours during winter months and decided to change the mindset of women around me who always used to ask me how I manage to look colourful and stylish all year round. This is what led me into the Personal Styling and Tailoring journey.
