I am a qualified Humanistic and Integrative Counsellor offering one-to-one counselling to adult clients aged 18+. I offer both short and long term therapy either face-to-face from private practice rooms in Westbury (Wiltshire) or online via a secure video platform for anyone based in the UK. I aim to provide a safe and confidential space for you to talk about what is troubling you, and I listen without judgement or preconceived ideas. There are many reasons why you might choose to go to therapy. Some common reasons include depression, anxiety, grief, relationship difficulties or generally feeling sad or low. There doesn’t need to be a specific issue, sometimes people find that their thoughts and behaviours are holding them back or that they are feeling stuck or lost or are not enjoying life as much as they would like. Therapy provides a space to talk openly about your thoughts and feelings and to process your emotions. Working with a counsellor can teach you how to feel your feelings and understand what they are telling you. My integrative approach to counselling means that I draw on a variety of therapeutic approaches and theories to suit each individual person. I believe that the relationship between client and counsellor is the most important aspect of therapy, and so person-centred (or humanistic) therapy is at the foundation of my approach. Often when I see clients they are at a low point in their lives, and yet they find the strength to be vulnerable and work through their difficulties with me. To witness people move through this personal journey is an absolute privilege and one that I never take for granted.
Having spent many years working in corporate environments on fast-paced projects I decided it was time for a change, I wanted to do work that had meaning and substance and so I re-trained as a Counsellor.
I use a humanistic approach which means I put you at the heart of how I work. I will listen without judgment and give you an open space to explore your thoughts and emotions. I offer a free initial 15-minute phone conversation where we can get to know each other and you can decide if you wish to work with me. For more information please visit: www.chellebrichard.co.uk.
I can provide counselling online via a secure video platform to anyone based in the UK.
For face-to-face work, I can offer a private space in local practice rooms. The room is large enabling us to sit more than 2 meters apart, there is also an air purifier available and the chairs are sprayed with anti bac in between clients along with other standard precautions.
I can also offer online counselling for those who are not ready to be in a face-to-face setting.
