There is a lot of jargon used to describe therapy and its benefits. I simplify things and focus on how I can best help you. I work with adults, offering psychotherapy which is a talking therapy that can help people overcome pain from their pasts, feel supported through current challenges and develop coping strategies for the future. Prior to establishing my private practice in Salisbury, I was a counsellor for a service in Bath, supporting people with a range of difficulties such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, addiction, loss and relationship difficulties. As a psychotherapist in training in my fifth year of advanced clinical training in Humanistic and Integrative psychotherapy, I am able to offer low cost sessions, drawing on a variety of approaches to best meet my clients’ needs. In my experience, being listened to deeply and compassionately can help to ease overwhelming emotions and make space for new perspective. It can be daunting to approach a therapist, but I offer therapy that is compassionate, confidential and non-judgemental.

What do you love most about your job?

It's a privilege to connect with my clients and I really believe that dedicating time to understand deeply explore your experiences can lead to lasting positive change.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I have loved agency work and found it really fulfilling to offer therapy to those most in need and often least able to easily access it. This experience motivated me to also offer work privately through my own practice in my local area and to expand this to offer online services where that could be helpful.

Why should our clients choose you?

I strive to bring compassion, kindness and empathy to my work which are all crucial to forging the deep and helpful relationship that underlies all successful therapy. That said, I also dislike the mystery and jargon that can surround the world of therapy so I try to be clear, open and real with my clients so they can feel safe, respected and in control of the work we do together. As a psychotherapist in training, I can offer therapy at an affordable rate and I am a registered member of the UK Council for Psychotherapists (UKCP) under their Humanistic and Integrative College which means I adhere to their professional standards for ethics and training.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

I practise in central Salisbury and primarily see clients face to face. I can also offer Zoom, Skype or telephone therapy if required.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

In my face to face work, I adhere to the stringent Covid-19 face to face practice guidelines required by my practice rooms which were set in accordance with governmental regulations. I have also completed remote working training for psychotherapists and counsellors provided by BCPC (Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling) and am thus able and experienced in offering remote therapy where is is necessary or preferred in the current climate.
