Paul Hallawell Counselling

I have over 25 years of experience as a counsellor, utilising specialist CBT, REBT and other eclectic counselling theories. I have had the privilege of helping individuals navigate their way through various challenges, including addiction, anger management, anxiety and depression, low mood, stress, self-esteem issues, relationship difficulties, bereavement, and much more. I offer a safe, non-judgmental space to explore whatever it is you are going through. You don’t have to go through it alone. I have worked extensively in both charities and within the NHS, giving me a deep understanding of how to support those facing complex issues with care and sensitivity. As a fully insured member of the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP), I adhere to the highest standards of professional ethics and regularly engage in supervision to ensure that I provide the best possible support to my clients. I offer face-to-face sessions in Redhill, Surrey as well as Zoom and telephone sessions for those who cannot travel. My goal is to make counselling accessible to everyone, which is why I offer a sliding scale price structure for anyone facing financial difficulties. Session Fee: £65 per 50-minute session Sliding Scale: Available to ensure that financial difficulties do not stand in the way of receiving the support you deserve. I understand that life’s challenges can feel overwhelming, and reaching out for help can be a big step. Whether you prefer to meet face-to-face in Redhill or via Zoom or telephone, I am here to provide the support you need, wherever you are.

What do you love most about your job?

I believe that we all deserve respect, kindness and consideration, regardless of what may have happened in our lives. We all have an opportunity to learn how to cope with and change our current circumstances by learning new ways to adapt to life's many challenges, in order to obtain a better quality of life. Change is a process which can take time. It can be a bit scary for some at first but it is very satisfying to encourage and support someone as they explore new ways to achieve a greater level of contentment.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I believe in the process of change and how talking can help recognise and challenge unhelpful thinking patterns. I have also recognised how our feelings influence our thinking patterns and how important it is to acknowledge how we feel in order to manage and cope with individual challenges more effectively.

Why should our clients choose you?

I have 25 years' experience of working as a counsellor/therapist/supervisor. I have learnt how crucial it is to fully connect with people, to truly hear and believe what life is like from your perspective. This is the true meaning of empathy.
Whether you have specific goals for counselling or simply want to talk to someone who will value, respect and believe you, I will help you learn how to develop a greater sense of self-belief and confidence in yourself.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

I can offer face to face sessions in a comfortable, friendly environment and also have the capacity to offer Zoom or telephone sessions.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

I have a covid-19 safety policy which is available upon request.
