Hi - if you feel you need some help coping with the stresses in your life I may be able to help you by first making the stress more manageable while we work on the longer term choices that you need to consider. I am a trauma therapist who works with an understanding of the nervous system works and how the mind and body work together or in times of stress feel conflicted. My work over the last 25 years has been to offer space for people to reflect on the issues that cause them stress and work towards bringing more choice and joy into their life.
Those moments when my clients have an aha ... they suddenly get clarity on an issue that has caused them stress. Also when a client is very stressed and comes home to themself and finds peace in their mind and body.
I have worked in health and education settings for many years and wanted more freedom than the demands of the organization allowed. I now can work full time or part time depending on my own needs which creates a good life work balance.
I know what it is like to feel completely dis regulated by the knocks of life and have been guided to trainings that have given me an understanding of how to support another human being to find their way through the challenges life has presented them with.
At the moment I only work on-line. Using zoom or Skype. Or phone calls if preferred.
On-line is different than in person therapy so I encourage my client and myself to allow for this and how it affects us especially when there are interruptions in wifi etc. Building trust is important and working together to overcome these difficulties is important.
