Can I help? We can have a free 30-minute consultation via Zoom or telephone to see how we can work together. Let's have a chat and find out what you need, and what we can do. Sometimes, life can feel a bit too much and we might just need a 'someone' to talk it over with to 'get it all out', to help us find a different perspective without being told someone else's opinions of how to deal with our stuff. At other times we may have something bigger to deal with, and I can help you navigate these deeper channels with therapy and psychoeducational tools to help you to manage My name is Claire. How can I help? I understand how difficult it can be to take the first step into counselling, and how important it is to have the right person walking beside you. I offer empathy and a listening ear in a confidential safe space for you to talk freely, without judgement, so you can process and deal with whatever is causing you unhappiness, and find your answers. I work entirely online via Zoom for your convenience, confidentiality and, accessibility. I studied Counselling and Psychotherapy at the University of Salford, and have three years' experience as a Team Practitioner at the University Counselling Clinic offering 1:1 counselling and psychotherapy to students and the general public. As well as working in the past with the Samaritans, I have been involved in the voluntary sector as a listening supporter and mediator. My training has been rooted in Person Centred Theory and I have completed several hours of extra training and continuing professional development (CPD) courses, at University and independently, to support my practice and offer relevant effective counselling to my clients. Remember, when you work with me you are an individual - you are not a problem. We will work together with compassion and kindness. Please scroll through to Services and Q and As for further information to help you decide whether you might like to work with me. My practice is now 100% online I work with anyone over the age of 18 I have experience in Autism Awareness for the comfort and safety of my clients I work according to the BACP Guidelines and Ethical Framework I am insured and have my DBS certificate I am a member of the International Association for Counselling (I.A.C.) I do not ask my clients for reviews; the work we have done together is private, confidential, and is their experience and personal growth. The same will be true for you.

What do you love most about your job?

Helping the people who trust me to work with them, and being privileged to be part of their progress.
I love that I can offer tailored sessions that suit the individual person and support their growth.

What inspired you to start your own business?

Life can be tough. We are experiencing difficult times and, with so much happening in the world, our personal coping mechanisms can be more strained than usual affecting our individual resilience.
We all need a little extra support, but don't want to burden someone close with our 'stuff'.
I can listen, and help you unload and process it.

There are several modes of counselling and psychotherapy, just as there are different ways of experiencing our problems. We will work together to find what's right for you.

Why should our clients choose you?

You are the priority; I am here with you on your journey. I offer a non-judgemental, confidential, safe space, I will listen empathically without advising or assuming I know best, and help you navigate your way through whatever it is you're bringing.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

I work online via Zoom and have clients throughout the UK. Before each session I will send you an email and invite you to our Zoom room.

If you prefer WhatsApp we can conduct counselling sessions that way, too.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

During the pandemic I moved my practice online so I could stay in contact with my clients. Since then the majority of my clients have requested a move to online sessions only, and I respect their wishes.
