I was lucky enough to meet Ling in a time where I really needed counselling and mentoring. Her warm personality allows for an immediate sense of ease and comfort in the session. She gave me space to open up and brought a new perspective to my situation. I always end my sessions feeling lighter and clearer in the head. Even though our session have been online, I have felt her joy and compassion. I highly recommend her services. Thank you Ling for all your help!

My name is Lorraine and I am a BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) registered counsellor, offering professional holistic counselling for a wide range of issues, based in Chandlers Ford, Hampshire. I have worked in counselling agencies in Watford and Winchester, as well as in private practice. In addition to working as a counsellor, I also volunteer with the Samaritans.
I'm a Yoga Teacher and Yoga Therapist. Services I offer: - 1 to 1 yoga classes - Yoga Therapy - Group yoga classes (All can be either online or (covid and location permitting) face to face in the Winchester area) Yoga therapy is the process of empowering individuals to progress toward improved health and well-being through the application of the teachings and practices of Yoga. It's a self-empowering process, which implements a personalised Yoga practice, that not only addresses the illness in a multi-dimensional manner, but also aims to alleviate suffering. I specialise in slow mindful Yoga to help build balance, strength and flexibility. But more importantly I help students find a sense of ease through reconnection to self and those around them. Certified by the British Wheel of Yoga I'm fully insured and hold a current First Aid certificate. I'm also currently studying towards a Diploma in Yoga Therapy with Yogacampus London.
I love teaching yoga because I can really help to improve people's quality of life. The ancient art of yoga is actually a handbook for living a happier, easier and healthier life. My passion is helping my clients to apply its wisdom to their lives and unlock the benefits.
Having come from the corporate world I understand as well as anyone the pressures and challenges that it provides. I've loved yoga since before the turn of the century so when I took time out to have children it seemed my path (Dharma in yoga speak) was obvious.
I love what I do and it seems that my students love it too. You can view some of their comments via my website: http://emilybruce.yoga/what-my-students-say
I have an awesome Yoga Pod in my garden which is just perfect for one on one Yoga classes and for Zoom sessions. So we can work face to face or online, I'm easy.
During the first lockdown I started teaching exclusively online and gave all the profits from my classes to an NHS charity. Now we're back face to face I follow all the relevant guidelines and keep up to date with what's required.
