Thank you Janie for guiding me on the Level 1 Reiki course. You were a fabulous teacher, making me feel very comfortable and I am looking forward to progressing to level 2 at some point. I would recommend the reiki level 1 course to anyone and everyone. It’s been nearly a week since I was attuned and I’m still feeling exhausted but I’m also feeling a sense of freedom. The course has helped me let go of some past issues and I generally feel more peaceful. For that I will always be grateful ⭐️

I am very passionate about the benefits of counselling. I am quite relaxed and very comfortable in my own skin - I tend not to judge other people, rather just work with you, so you can be happy and have a fulfilled life. I don't tend to ask my clients to review my business, because it inevitably means they need to then explain they have had counselling and I don't really believe that I should be asking my clients to need to do that.

I know how impossible it may feel to have someone that could just listen. You may be facing a challenge, or purely feeling stuck in your current circumstances, at that point when you just want to be understood. If you're looking for genuineness, honesty and nonjudgmental support, then I may be the qualified counsellor that you are looking for. As an integrative counsellor, I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship and the exploration of the subconscious.

I offer a warm, calm, empathic and non-judgemental approach to counselling, giving time and space to talk. I am a qualified counsellor, psychotherapist and hypnotherapist, working with the National Counselling Association. I use a range of counselling styles, based around the individual's needs and I form a strong, therapeutic relationship with clients, which I feel is essential in providing a safe environment for clients to talk and bring about effective change.

We’re all unique, yet we share some challenges in life. Stress, trauma, loss and fear are just a few that can knock us off course. I see therapy as a way not only of getting you back on track, fast, but helping you to fulfil your potential. When the difficulties of life leave you feeling overwhelmed and unable to cope, I can help you to find the first steps to recovery. No one therapy can work for all, so my approach is to build on what works for you, drawing on therapeutic disciplines that best fit your presentation and personality.

Counselling offers a safe place to talk in confidence with someone who can offer another perceptive. Having that protected space, where you can think out loud, can be the starting point for change. Knowing that whatever you say will be contained within the walls where we meet, that your words will be considered in depth, and your feelings will be cared for and held respectfully.

EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique or ‘tapping’) is a gentle and pleasant therapy that once learned you can use at home for a range of emotional issues or chronic conditions as well as to help you create a more positive and vibrant life. Free yourself from stressful thoughts and worries about the future and thrive in the now, enjoying the present and creating the future you desire.

You could call me a bit of a Wendy superfan – I’ve seen her for private EFT sessions, group workshops and talks and I’ve done practitioner training with her. And I can confidently recommend her for every one of those things.
I started with seeing her for private sessions and they were fantastic. She’s great at putting you at ease, she’s gentle but still very effective, and kind and empathetic without being overwhelmed by the magnitude of what you might be working on. She can draw out the things you need to work on without it being too painful and manages to get loads of tapping rounds into the session (even with a big talker like me!) so you get lots of bang for your buck, so to speak.
As a teacher she is excellent at communicating to learners, she is really encouraging without compromising the quality of her constructive feedback. She is patient with the learning process and encouraging of questions and has a wealth of knowledge to draw upon. Her talks and teaching is very engaging and she is great at facilitating an interesting group discussion. All group tapping sessions I’ve done with her are always uplifting and energising.
I’m excited that she’s now trained in Energy EFT as I feel this allows her to be even more heart centred and intuition led with her sessions, making them all the more healing.
I always come away from sessions and workshops with a calm clarity and fresh insight, and the changes and I shifts I make in sessions ripple out to all aspects of my life.
I’m super looking forward to continue my training with Wendy in February.
Whether your considering private sessions or practitioner training I’d highly recommend Wendy as your go-to local EFT expert! :)

Dr. Amanda Williamson: 'The Centre for Embodiment & Somatic Movement Education & Therapy. www.movingsoma.co.uk Somatic Movement Therapy' Body-centred Expressive Therapy Deep relaxation & mindfulness Somatic Education Somatic Dance Therapy Somatic Movement Therapy & Education is ideal for people suffering from depression, addiction, anxiety, low self esteem and tension. The work combines science with art and movement therapy. This type of therapy is supportive of all people because it offers space and reflection on life-journey and how one is perceiving self in the world. ‘The purpose of Somatic Movement Education & Therapy is to enhance human function and body-mind integration through movement awareness. Professional practice combines experiential anatomy, sound, breath, touch and imagery to bring awareness to the self-regulatory intelligence of the body. Somatic movement practitioners work sensitively and gently with the human body, acknowledging that movement affects dimensions of psyche and spirit as well. As a result, practice facilitates improved vitality, creativity, easeful movement functioning, and a restful embodied experience. The profession, as represented by ‘International Somatic Movement Education and Therapy Association (ISMETA)’ helps students and clients in some way to: recognize habitual patterns of perceptual, postural and movement interaction with the environment improve movement coordination that supports structural, functional and expressive integration experience an embodied sense of vitality and create both meaning for and enjoyment of life focus on the body both as an objective physical process and as a subjective process of lived consciousness refine perceptual, kinesthetic, proprioceptive, and interoceptive sensitivity that supports homeostasis, co-regulation, and neuroplasticity Dr. Amanda Williamson is pioneer in the field: please view the site for details.
Working in peaceful creative space; and extending this space to clients. Working in slow-time tempo; enabling clients to slow down, reflect and ease out tension; witnessing creative and perceptual change in others; supporting breath awareness and easeful being;
listening and compassion; being with others in a non-judgemental space; supporting growth and change; learning from my clients and exchanging knowledge about the human body in culture and society; supporting creativity and life-journey; and witnessing the resilience, strength and creativity of human beings.
I was inspired to open 'The Centre for Embodiment & Somatic Movement Education & Therapy' because people are under such pressure at home and at work. The centre provides a space of deep reflection, perceptual change and creative growth. The practice releases tension and stress, and provides people with time and space to self-regulate and heal.
Somatic movement therapy and education is a unique approach to therapy where the sensory and expressive body is invited into the healing process. The work is slow-time and deeply reflective; it enhances life energy through focusing on breath and kinesthetic awareness. The work differs significantly from yoga because clients are not taught set exercises, but rather led through creative and reflective processes that provide freedom, ease and release in the body-mind. It is holistic practice that explores the sensory, emotional, creative, imaginative, anatomical and perceptual self. Clients report release from worry, new perceptions that enhance well-being at home and in work, and increased life-energy.
