The Moving Soma conference on Cultural, Intercultural and Transnational Dialogues in Dance and Spirituality offered truly enlightening opportunities to share research, insights, explorations and discoveries in areas of wisdom knowledge that link soul practices and movement. Thank you to Amanda and Scott at Moving Soma for organising such a welcoming and nourishing event. The complexity and scale of this project is awesome and you handled it all with warmth, elegance and grace. I am truly enriched by the experience of attending.

Thank you Janie for guiding me on the Level 1 Reiki course. You were a fabulous teacher, making me feel very comfortable and I am looking forward to progressing to level 2 at some point. I would recommend the reiki level 1 course to anyone and everyone. It’s been nearly a week since I was attuned and I’m still feeling exhausted but I’m also feeling a sense of freedom. The course has helped me let go of some past issues and I generally feel more peaceful. For that I will always be grateful ⭐️

I am a fully licensed Hypnotherapist, NLP Practitioner and Motivational Coach. I am able to help my clients with issues as diverse as fear of spiders to anxiety and depression. This includes issues regarding weight loss, fear of almost anything, depression, lack of motivation, being "stuck", addictions, relationship problems and much more. By using a mix of hypnotherapy and motivational coaching, most issues can be improved or eliminated within a very short period of time.

I have recently taken my 16 year old daughter to see Martin brown for exam nerves. She is dyslexic however it soon became apparent that she was also experiencing difficulties within the family. I divorced my husband a long time ago. My ex husband is a very complex person and my daughter was having problems with the family dynamic. Martin has helped so much and my daughter is so much happier. I found Martin to be easy to trust with a deep understanding of people and I would recommended him highly.

I know how impossible it may feel to have someone that could just listen. You may be facing a challenge, or purely feeling stuck in your current circumstances, at that point when you just want to be understood. If you're looking for genuineness, honesty and nonjudgmental support, then I may be the qualified counsellor that you are looking for. As an integrative counsellor, I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship and the exploration of the subconscious.

I offer a warm, calm, empathic and non-judgemental approach to counselling, giving time and space to talk. I am a qualified counsellor, psychotherapist and hypnotherapist, working with the National Counselling Association. I use a range of counselling styles, based around the individual's needs and I form a strong, therapeutic relationship with clients, which I feel is essential in providing a safe environment for clients to talk and bring about effective change.

We’re all unique, yet we share some challenges in life. Stress, trauma, loss and fear are just a few that can knock us off course. I see therapy as a way not only of getting you back on track, fast, but helping you to fulfil your potential. When the difficulties of life leave you feeling overwhelmed and unable to cope, I can help you to find the first steps to recovery. No one therapy can work for all, so my approach is to build on what works for you, drawing on therapeutic disciplines that best fit your presentation and personality.

Counselling offers a safe place to talk in confidence with someone who can offer another perceptive. Having that protected space, where you can think out loud, can be the starting point for change. Knowing that whatever you say will be contained within the walls where we meet, that your words will be considered in depth, and your feelings will be cared for and held respectfully.

I am an experienced Counsellor and a Counselling Supervisor and I offer one to one counselling (online only at the moment, due to Covid). I have over 20 years experience, working with a variety of issues, to include: Depression, trauma, anxiety, LBGTQ issues, low self esteem, abuse, relationship problems, addiction, loss, stress, bereavement, identity, chronic pain, to name a few examples.
I am very passionate about the benefits of counselling. I am quite relaxed and very comfortable in my own skin - I tend not to judge other people, rather just work with you, so you can be happy and have a fulfilled life. I don't tend to ask my clients to review my business, because it inevitably means they need to then explain they have had counselling and I don't really believe that I should be asking my clients to need to do that. You will know whether I am the right therapist for you. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/dEJHYxWnFO4?si=sfiTAJePw6hnE3dT
I love being a Therapist, it is more of a calling than a job and something I have found my way into in later life, after being a bit more conformist in my earlier life.
I really enjoy the work and I never tire of seeing people's lives improve as a result of examining and exploring what is going on for them, and the inevitable change, whether that is something major like changing job/location etc or whether it is thinking differently about certain aspects of life.
Simply that I am very passionate about counselling but not very passionate about being part of an organisation with its own rules and regulations, procedures.
Even though I am a bit of a free-spirit, I am boundaried in the work (as I believe it is key to good therapy) but when it is my business, then we are free to negotiate how we work, rather than based on rules of a large organisation.
I am a great believer in clients having their own autonomy - so I wouldn't wish to give a reason why they 'should' choose me but perhaps I will say, if a client is looking for an individual who is very passionate about counselling, comfortable in their own skin and a bit of a free-spirit, then they will likely know whether I appeal to them as a counsellor or not. So I would say the clients should go with their intuition, as they will know who feels a good fit.
Yes, I provide online sessions by Google Meets or with some clients over the phone, really whatever the client prefers. I have a preference for in-person, only because I believe there is a benefit in actually being in the same physical space for the session but online does work well and I have done some really good work with individuals on the telephone, so perhaps the medium isn't crucial.
Well, hopefully we are past covid now but if clients are concerned about being inside over the winter months for instance then we can either open the windows or go for a walk outside.
