I an a retired Manging Director who has retrained to follow my passion to provide professional services based on Integrated Psychotherapeutic Counselling and also Hypnotherapy. I work on a one-to-one basis, using a collaborative, empathetic and non-judgemental style. This helps Clients identify what they really want from therapy and then I assist and empower them in exploring how they might progress to achieve it. The Integrative approach draws on several different styles and methods rather than one approach fits all. This means that I can personalise therapy to be tailored to the Client’s specific situation, using varied approaches drawing on Psychodynamics, Person Centered, CBT, Gestalt, Transactional Analysis and other Humanistic Approaches, as well as Jungian Psychoanalysis and Motivational Approaches. These approaches are often successful in dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, self-defeating behaviours/ habits, grief and loss, anger management , couples therapy and many other issues. Fees are £60 per hourly session payable by bank transfer or cash. A location map is on my website: www.jamesmccluskey.co.uk
The most satisfying part of my job is knowing that I am helping people find solutions to their problems, and hopefully coping strategies that will help them for the rest of their lives.
Having had mental health issues myself I had the opportunity to have help from professionals which proved to be very successful. It inspired me to try and learn the trade professionally, so that I too could help others.

It is important that you know and realise that I will not “try and fix you” or tell you what I think you should do to solve your problems, but instead we will work together and I will help you explore, discover and understand what are the best ways forward that will allow you to decide what is needed and to find appropriate coping strategies and solutions.
