My name is Magdalena and I have started Vocalize in 2018 with the aim of helping people of all abilities and ages improve their vocal skills. Originally from Poland, I moved to Wales in 2012 and have lived here ever since. I have been studying in Karlowicz Music School in Zielona Gora, Poland and for many years I have been studying singing in Rezonans Studio in Zielona Gora, Poland. I completed a degree in Drama, Theatre and Performance from Aberystwyth University and graduated in 2015. I am very interested in Estill Voice Training; therefore in 2019 I have completed Estill level 1 & level 2 course as well as Estill for Singing Teachers. Currently, I am a student at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire (MA Professional Voice Practice). I am a passionate singer and I have been singing since 2003. The passion and love of singing and singing voice drove me to start teaching and with my work, I hope to inspire others to explore and develop their voice and vocal skills. My teaching style is relaxed and goal- oriented. I set specific goals with my students and I help my students to fulfill their goals. During the lessons, I focus on technical exercises addressing the student’s needs as well as on student’s repertoire. I work with students on style and genre of their choice. I offer lessons in my Studio in Aberystwyth, Ceredigion, as well as Online (via Zoom and Skype). I offer 1-on-1 private lessons, as well as group sessions. I am offering FREE initial consultation. A few years ago, my passion for singing and performing led me into teaching. Since then, I have been sharing my passion and knowledge with students, both in the Studio in Aberystwyth and Online (in any location). I am working with students of all ages and abilities, including professionals; preparing students for auditions and performances, as well as with students who are singing just for their own pleasure and joy.

I came to singing late, outside of singing into showerheads I was always too scared to learn until I was 25. I'd never sang for anyone before, Tom really put me at ease, helped me get over my nerves, and really cares about your journey as a learner; he wants you too have fun and enjoy the process so you can form habits and learn with a little bit of encouragement! In the last year I have learned so much, and Tom has not provided real passion, technical knowledge, and good humour but also provided some performing opportunities that helped me overcome my nerves and played a big part in getting my first minor role in a production. Tom is so easy to get on with, we have such good chats when at lessons and he has helped me through some real difficult moments in the last year by his support, encouragement. Toms approach is great as a new learner, he allows you to ask questions, and really adapts his approach to you and your needs with patience and imagination. He will help you develop your own style and repertoire. Tom is a rare breed, and wouldn't have met so many amazing people if not for Tom; or found such an amazing hobby.
