I can't recommend Recha enough. Since I started having regular sessions with her I feel I have finally gained some understanding of the events that have led me to where I am now, how I can take control of who I am, my reactions to the events in my life and where I am going. She also provides a safe place to get anything I need off my chest and to untangle my thoughts or feelings in order to make sense of it all. She is compassionate and non-judgemental, and has given me hope that I can choose my own fate, which is something I had somewhat stopped believing. Thank you Recha!

My intention through all my work is to empower others to feel great about being who they are. Life is challenging and, often, the way we respond to what we're feeling in the moment is symptomatic of the "stuff" we've been through before, sometimes from a time in our lives that we can't consciously remember. Negative past experiences, trauma, grief, painful relationships, perceived failures etc all leave emotional residue trapped in the systems of our bodies. When we connect with the holistic Self and understand the signals it's sending us, we are able to isolate where this residue is trapped and release it through focused processing. When these emotions are released, the behavioural and emotional patterns that we have been experiencing or using as coping mechanisms shift and we begin to recognise what we need to change to move forward. If you're experiencing any kind of emotional imbalance then it's time to address what you're still holding on to. By identifying which of the 5 Parts of Self (Mental, Emotional, Physical, Energetic and Spiritual) are out of balance we are able to identify blocks, negative mindsets and behaviours as they come up in session, enabling us to focus more on the positive experiences that you want to have in life. My approach is a combination of focused emotional clearing through psychosomatic (mind-body) connection, talk therapy, guided inner connection and mindfulness to combat the restless mind and quantifiable action steps so that the vibe stays positive, your relationship with your Self grows consistently and you begin to feel better immediately. I look forward to working with you and am grateful to have the skills and opportunity to support you through this part of your life's journey.
Connecting with people and enabling them to see how incredible, beautiful and powerful they are, even when they're experiencing life in pain.
During my own experience of anxiety, depression and suicidal ideation I felt completely lost and disconnected from who I was. I barely recognised myself in the mirror and the shame, blame and guilt I felt crippled my every move. Those feelings were so scary and isolating that I know they will stay with me forever as a reminder that sometimes we have to break completely to be able to rebuild as a better version of ourselves. My "dark night of the Soul" was pre cursed by emotionally and physically abusive relationships, constant silencing in my childhood and never feeling as though I was good enough. People pleasing was my default mode in every scenario. When my life collapsed around me I experienced this physically, mentally, emotionally, energetically and spiritually in a foreign country with no systemic support, long-term friends or family around me. I had to heal myself with whatever I could find around me and found that when I asked for help, in whatever way, it would come. As I began recognising myself more and more through daily practice and inclusion of so many beautiful and rewarding ways of being, everything began to shift and I knew intrinsically that I had experienced all of this so that I could help others heal their own trauma, past life experiences and negative mindsets, discovering their own power and developing self love, self esteem and self compassion en route. Since I hadn't found anyone else in person or online who was offering holistic Self healing, I decided to stay true to myself and start my own business. The name This Happy Guru came to me in a meditation and was so strong that I've stuck with it! It offers the idea that we are each responsible for our own happiness and that all the answers we need to discover our own innate happiness are to be found within our Selves, rather than in the advice or dominion of someone else. That way, you have all the tools to not only realign yourself now, but you have the internal knowledge of Self to be able to keep growing, keep developing and stay happy throughout your life, whatever challenges unfold.
Unlike many other therapists I work holistically through what I call the "5 Parts of Self". Each part of Self determines an aspect that needs to be in alignment - physically, mentally, emotionally, energetically or Spiritually. You start work on one and it positively impacts the whole. All parts are intertwined, so, for example, if you work on your calming your thoughts and changing self sabotaging thoughts then you'll find that as a by-product you have more energy, are more inclined to make healthier lifestyle choices, wiser food choices stay more balanced in your emotions and feel a greater connection to the world outside of your mind.
I am a very positive person to work with and I have a talent for reading the body and identifying underlying emotions which enables me to engage processing very quickly. Sometimes issues can be rectified in 1-3 sessions, depending on the depth of experience we're working with.
I am a huge advocate for learning to appreciate and love your Self, which I think are attributes that are, unfortunately, vastly overlooked in therapy. I am compassionate, easy to talk to and ensure that the techniques I share with each client are easily transferable into their existing lives so that any lifestyle adjustments feel like "tweaks" not "huge changes" which can often be overwhelming and add to negative thoughts and feelings.
Currently all my sessions are conducted via Zoom or WhatsApp video call (Zoom is preferred) this allows more flexibility for me and my clients and allows for more time for my clients.
All sessions are currently held online minimising the need for travel
