What do you love most about your job?

I love helping people to have that light bulb moment where something that felt very difficult is suddenly so clear. Psychology and philosophy can feel very daunting, but it's incredibly rewarding when you finally understand the importance of the concepts in the fields.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I would like to advance my career in psychology, but I am also growing my family, so working from home as a Psychology Tutor helps me to stay connected to my career but also have the flexibility I need for childcare.

Why should our clients choose you?

I am currently working at the University of Sussex International Study Centre as a Psychology Tutor, so I have a good understanding about what it takes to get by in a psychology course, and to excel for those who are very ambitious. I have a strong academic background. I have achieved a 1 in most of my university coursework, and never lower than a 2.1. I have been fortunate enough to study across 3 different universities, so I have been exposed to psychology coursework from many different perspectives.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

Yes, I usually teach online. It is not as challenging as some might feel. I have coursework for most of the GSCE and A Level exam boards, and I use a lot of screen sharing and document sharing during lessons. I can also edit essays online via screen sharing.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

Online teaching fortunately does not carry any Covid-19 risk. For any in person lessons I am more than happy to take any precautions that students feel are necessary for a safe learning environment.

Smart Snark Tutoring has truly been a game-changer for me. When I first started, I was struggling with my grades, hovering around a Grade 4 in most subjects. But with their tailored approach and no-nonsense attitude, everything changed. The tutors didn’t just feed me information—they challenged me, pushed me to think critically, and made sure I understood the material deeply. They found a way to make even the most boring topics interesting, injecting humor and a bit of snark to keep me engaged. Their teaching style was perfect for me: straightforward, focused, and with just the right amount of tough love. They never let me slack off but always made sure I felt supported. Week after week, I could see my grades steadily improving, and before I knew it, I was consistently hitting 8s and 9s in my exams. Smart Snark Tutoring helped me turn my grades around and made me believe in my own potential. If you’re looking for a tutoring service that won’t sugarcoat things but will push you to be your best, I can’t recommend them enough. They take you from average to top-tier in no time!
