What do you love most about your job?

We love managing properties for our clients as the feedback that we get keeps the motivation going within the team. We love providing solutions for problems that our clients put infront of us, hence the name...We will also provide a solution!

What inspired you to start your own business?

Firstly, we found that there were no local block managing agents in the Mansfield area and most were managed by companies 20/30 miles away. When visiting some of these properties, it was evident that the property manager had not attended in months, leaving the building to look neglected.

Secondly, we felt that the property managers who were managing blocks in Mansfield didn't really care about the blocks. For those that are in the industry and that do it properly know that there is a huge amount of responsibility in ensuring the residents are comfortable and safe in their homes. Having seen buildings that did not seem to have been visited in 6 months, it felt that the agents had no interest other than to collect fees and deal with reactive complaints.

We do things differently.

Transparency is key. We ensure that our clients and lessees are aware of what is going on in the home they live in. We usually do this by way of monthly updates via email.

Does your property manager visit every month? This is something we do religiously for all our buildings we manage. We also provide site inspection reports to our clients so that they are aware of any issues that need to be flagged up and addressed.

Asset Management is what we do best. We hate to see buildings left without any maintenance for years as this is something the managing agents should be advising their clients. We are a proactive managing agent!

How important is it to keep everyone in your building safe and ensure compliance issues are addressed? We make sure that your compliance is in order and this can be as simple as removing items from electrical risers to monthly emergency light testing. Agents often make compliance sound much more complicated than it really needs to be. We usually simplify it to ensure our clients understand exactly what needs to be done.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

We provide our services via email and phone. When it comes to maintenance, this is not something that we can do remotely.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

Our residents are our priority and so, when we visit the buildings, we wear masks and gloves. We have also stopped resident clinics but rather use Zoom to hold them. This still works well as residents can still speak to us. Throughout COVID, we have maintained communications with our residents as most were worried about the communal areas and how they would be monitored and maintained.
