We believe that property owners - not freeholders, or developers - should oversee the management of shared areas, and be empowered to make decisions through their Residents Management Company. It is our mission to provide the volunteer directors of these leaseholder-owned companies with the service, expertise and support they need. We work in partnership with them to ensure properties are maintained to the highest possible standard and residents have a safe and pleasant place to live. Our role is to help our clients comply with the myriad of leasehold law, manage health and safety risks, achieve value for money and ensure the financial stability of the annual service charge. We take the time to get to know the developments, the leaseholders, residents and directors. Our team of experienced property managers regularly visit their sites, keep the directors and residents up to date, manage contractors such as cleaners and gardeners and arrange all reactive and periodic maintenance. Our clients tell us that it is often the little things that make the difference. Whether you need us to make an emergency property inspection at short notice or arrange a residents’ meeting on a Friday evening, we will do our best to accommodate you. We are members of the Property Ombudsman for Residential Leasehold Management and we have a strong commitment to the professional development of our team, through the Institute of Residential Property Management (IRPM)

What do you love most about your job?

The variety each day is fantastic! As well as having the vision to drive us forward my role is to oversee the key operational and business development functions. A talented group of property managers and finance professionals engage with clients, contractors and suppliers each and every day and any serious matters are escalated to me for an opinion or direction.

What inspired you to start your own business?

In 2010 I had a few small businesses and a small team. Our block and estate management company was, I felt, the least likely to grow but was a neat complement to other things were doing. As subsequent years have passed it has became clear that the block and estate management opportunity provided primarily by the failings of others was much larger than I had expected. We are seeing steady and continuous growth but, most importantly, we're having fun doing it!

Why should our clients choose you?

I aspire to have the best and most respected property management company in the region and everything we do to constantly educate or team and improve our processes is geared towards this. I did not start my career in property but have transferred drive and vision, as well as knowledge, skills and experience in order to improve a sector that has been blighted by the underperformance of too many people for too long. I do not provide testimonials, the property world is full of 'talk' and too little 'delivery'. I overcome this by simply asking prospective clients to speak freely with our existing clients.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

We do not provided a remote service and only work with clients that are a ~1 hour drive from one of our offices. Our routine site inspections are vital in maintaining high standards but equally all time spent by property managers travelling in a car is time that could be better spent doing client work. We keep the mileage down in order to keep the service level up!

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

To protect our clients from COVID-19 we have ensured that our team has been provided with, and use, appropriate PPE. In terms of suppliers and contractors attending sites then we have insisted that they wear appropriate PPE and observe social distancing. We have found this has worked very well.
