I am a fourth year Neuroscience student at the University of Nottingham and I have experience in tutoring students in different subjects, among which English, Maths, Spanish, German, History and Science. Moreover, my mother tongue is Italian and I have graduated from High School in Italy in 2019 with 100/100 with Honours, so I am ready and available for Italian tutoring too. I also have a C1 level in Spanish and a B2 level in German, which were core subjects of my High School.

I offer extra tuition for Maths, Science, Design Technology and Engineering from Key Stage 2 upwards. I also work with Home Educated children and can offer a full range of subjects as required. Prices are £20 - £35 per hour, for individual tuition, depending on subject and key stage, however, I believe that education should be for all so unwaged adults and children of unwaged families are just £10 per hour.

My son struggles to sit still for longer that 5-10 minutes, he has had one lesson with Amanda and he managed 40 minutes fully engaged and didn't want the lesson to be over! Amanda is a fantastic tutor and my son has been talking about his maths lesson all week! He can't wait for the next one! Definitely recommend.

I have 10 years of Maths tutoring experience with AQA, OCR, Edexcel and CIE exam boards. I have taught at school and university level and I also have industry experience. My approach is to break down topics in a methodical manner, ensuring each is thoroughly mastered from basics to advanced, and adapt to the students' learning style. I am also an examiner (over 10 years experience), moderator and team leader and can thus improve students' exam techniques and presentation of answers and help maximise marks in exams.

InspireMeToo was established as the direct result of wanting to support those students that often struggle within a classroom setting but with 1-2-1 support can and do reach their full potential. With 13 years experience of working within the teaching profession I proud myself on having high expectations of all those I teach and being able to support a student in building both their subject knowledge, understanding and confidence in English.

My son Aifaan has made remarkable progress since Naba began tutoring him. Naba is not only an outstanding performer but also knows the best ways to prepare and present the subject matter. Her exceptional command of the English language and her ability to convey concepts clearly to Aifaan have been incredibly valuable. Naba's teaching style is engaging and tailored to Aifaan's learning needs, making complex topics easier for him to grasp.
Additionally, Naba has an excellent appreciation of Spanish and Mathematics. Her deep understanding and ability to teach these subjects have significantly boosted Aifaan’s confidence and performance. Finding a tutor with such a strong grasp of multiple subjects, especially for the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum, is incredibly rare. She is truly a godsend.
Naba is patient, encouraging, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure he understands the material thoroughly. We are extremely grateful for Naba’s dedication and support. An amazing tutor—thank you so much, Naba!

I am a Nottingham based experienced school teacher with 20 years experience. I am also a schools inspector and school consultant. I now am using my experience to support children who would like to make accelerated progress in the comfort of their own home. Through the My Own Tutor Online Programme, I offer a 24/7 online home study programme to supplement online face to face learning for both students and parents.
A little introduction; I am an online tutor with just over a year's experience and teach primarily on KS3 English and GCSE English Language and Literature but am now also tutoring students for the 11+ entrance exams in English, creative writing, verbal reasoning, and non-verbal reasoning. In addition, I tutor A-Level psychology and can also offer KS3 & GCSE history lessons. I have a 2:1 BA Hons degree in History from Bristol University, and A-Level's in English Literature, history & psychology. I hold a full enhanced DBS and have taken several safeguarding courses. My approach is to focus on developing the key skills required: in English these are comprehension, inference, analysis, subject terminology, comparing texts, and critical evaluation and I often use resources from the Times Educational Supplement website which are peer-reviewed. I work with each student individually and focus on the skills they require, helping students to understand what is required of them for each assessment objective, breaking them down into a plan they can apply in the exam, and providing lots of practice questions. It is a highly individual and tailored approach with personalised lesson plans created for each student. As tutoring is a unique one-to-one relationship, it is very important that the student and tutor feel comfortable working together, so I always offer a free 30 minute trial for each prospective student.
Helping students to gain self-confidence in their own abilities, engaging with them in interesting debates and discussions, being more than just a tutor of information, but an advocate of learning and knowledge for both personal and academic development.
After many years in the corporate world (IT & finance) I wanted to do something where I could make a difference, however small. I began by volunteering as a tutor with two different charities, one was teaching English Language GCSE to students who needed additional support and the other was teaching general English to refugees. I found it such a rewarding experience that I was inspired to start up as a self-employed tutor, and currently work freelance for a social initiative enterprise offering tutoring to students from disadvantaged backgrounds. I still volunteer with both charities.
I don't have a formal teaching background, therefore I can approach subjects with a different perspective, whilst understanding the fundamental concepts that students require, such as the ability to comprehend and infer information, to be able to analyse and question, to be logical, and above all to be able to communicate. I aim to use interactive approaches and include discussion and reasoning, introducing multi-subject material such as history, philosophy, and psychology into English lessons, or current affairs and sociology into psychology lessons for context and a wider perspective.
I use Zoom for all online lessons and find this is a good interactive medium. I also send any resources used to students for their own use.
All lessons are online, therefore present no Covid-19 risk
