I have taught English for nearly 30 years. This has been in both Secondary and FE settings. I have a BA in English and a MA in Literature, as well as a Level 5 Subject Specialism in Teaching English. I have also recently applied to complete a PhD in Education. I have extensively taught Functional Skills in Maths and English; from pre-entry level to Level 2.I have also previously worked for Edexcel;
I am not a company but a student of politics and international affairs. I have experience in both tutoring and child-care (although I do have work experience in other areas). I have a-levels in Philosophy, theology and Ethics, Medieval History and Classical civilization. With three years of experience, I tutor in year 1+ including IGCSE Math, English, Classical Civilisation and History and Tutor A-level Classics. I know how to cater to each child and make learning fun. Some extra teaching or studying with a tutor can seem boarding and pointless to kids but that is only true if you are learning with someone who is either no invested or teaching directly from the text book, I pride myself of engaging everyone I work with. I also babysit or look after children part time. I love working with children and have five years of experience doing so. I can cook well and know how to cater to different dietary requirements. I am also trained in CPR and have basic medical training. I do everything I can to boost self-confidence and make everything fun, from brushing teeth to sack races.
I love working with kids in general but I think, engaging children and know they are having fun in both baby sitting and when it comes to tutoring I love it when they repeat a question they never knew before and are able to answer it.
When I became an university student and had time to offer my services to a wider selection of people it had to be working with children and tutor those in as many ages as possible.
For babysitting, I look to make everything fun and efficient. Ensuring that home-work gets done and everyone gets to bed on time while keeping a lively, engaging environment for your children.
For Tutoring, I cater to them making sure they lean in a way that works for them. I have dyslexia and know that textbook learning doesn't work for everyone and even up to A-levels there are different ways to learn what you need. I go into depth and know how to make children and teenagers engage with there work. In short keep it interesting and get the subject covered.
I can provide services online and remotely. I can use Zoom, Skype even face time. Which ever platform works before for you. It is difficult to do but I have tutored math over the phone before.
I will wear a mask if that's what you prefer and am double vaccinated.
