My lessons are taught online, therefore allowing lessons to be flexible around students. Students' lessons will be tailored around active recall and spaced repetition, therefore making them grasp key information more easily. In the first lesson (which is free), students and I will create a plan for the rest of their tutoring sessions - which will include practice questions, tests, and time to review any topics that they do not understand.

Hi Chris,
Seriously could not be happier. Jacqui should be bottled and put on mass availability. Always bang on time, good energy, has the ability to connect with my preteen son who never complains about their Friday evening sessions.
Jacqui is flexible and willing to do weekends or half term if required. Her skill set is fabulous!
We love her

I am an experienced qualified teacher. I have recently left my role as a support/additional needs teacher. I was employed in this capacity to deliver specific maths and english interventions to both individuals and small groups. I largely worked with year 5 and 6 children to boost their confidence and make accelerated progress in their learning. However, I have experience working with all age groups across Key Stage 1 and 2.

We have only had a couple of lessons so far with Mr Curington but they could not have been more positive. His manner and approachability are fantastic. He is patient and knowledgeable and really seems to work towards to the needs of my daughters maths requirements. She enjoys her time with him and it seems to increase her confidence in her abilities

I live for the AHa! moment when my students grasp a new topic or recognise how learning relates to their everyday life. For example, the addition of decimal numbers where they can recognise the importance of their maths skills when estimating a shopping bill or simply noticing decimal numbers at a petrol station.
When children see progress or are able to persevere until they achieve mastery, I am thrilled. My students' grow in confidence as a result of these triumphs. I find it tremendously fulfilling to assist children in discovering their abilities and then developing those strengths into regular mental habits. It gives me great pleasure to know that I have supported pupils in developing abilities that they will use for the rest of their life.
As a full time primary teacher, there are so many topics and lessons taught throughout the year that there is not always enough time to revisit certain topics for pupils that struggled. This is when I found a great passion for teaching small groups or one-to-one lessons to review misconceptions and re-gain pupil self-confidence in a subject.
