My name is Daniel. I have been teaching kids and adults Piano, Guitar and Music Theory for 7 years now. I teach online via Zoom, Google Meet or Skype. I own a very good set up so you can see my instrument, my hands and my face at all times. My aim is for people to learn how to enjoy playing music and own their instrument. For this I will start with basic chords and which scales they go with so they can start improvising as soon as possible.

I teach both the guitar and the piano as well as offering classes in music theory and composition. My goal is always to ensure that my students develop the technical proficiency and musical appreciation they need to become virtuoso players, whilst never allowing our classes to feel too much like hard work.

I've been taking virtual lessons as a complete beginner twice a week with Elize since March. She's been brilliant. Always clear in her explanations and demonstrations, always well prepared for our lessons and always flexible when I need to move classes around. On top of all that, her lessons are excellent value too! I look forward to continuing to take lessons with her and highly recommend you too do!

My students are a mix of all ages - children as well as adults, many of whom played when they were younger and now are interested in rediscovering their musical abilities. I firmly believe that the mark of a good teacher is the capacity not simply to transfer information and skills, but to develop and instil a love of music and to foster the ability to teach oneself. I know from my own experience that the greatest driver of improvement is not discipline and regimen, though these things are important.

Teaching people is my passion and I love to see my students succeed. I currently teach Music (performing arts) at an SEN school in Roehampton and have been at that post for 3 years. I originally started teaching Piano over 15 years ago and have carried many students through their Associated Board exams. In 2020 I had one of my long term students achieve a distinction at Grade 8 in Trinity Music.
I am a professional musician and have been teaching privately (singing, piano, violin, music theory) for over 10 years. I started the violin and piano at the age of five and went on to play violin in the prestigious Liverpool Philharmonic Youth Orchestra up until the age of eighteen. I have a Masters degree in classical and operatic singing from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and two bachelor of music degrees from the University of Manchester and the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire (where I was a scholarship student). I love singing an array of genres including classical/opera, musical theatre, pop, jazz, folk and soul/motown. For stage and screen work I am represented by Anthony Williams at Keddie Scott Associates. I have worked for many prestigious theatre and opera companies including: Thursford Christmas Spectacular, Shone Productions, Longborough Opera Festival, HERA Theatre Company, Opera de Baugé and Opera Holland Park. You can find out more about me here www.lucindascott.com.
Inspiring others to venture into the wonderful world of music. It is so rewarding when I see pupils making progress, no matter how big or small that progress may be. When I see my students really enjoying what they are playing or singing I feel like I have really succeeded in doing my job then! Learning music has to be enjoyable; for me music is all about spreading joy and it accompanies us brilliantly through the ups and downs of life. I certainly don’t know where I would be without music in my life!
I am an extremely proficient musician having started learning music at the age of five. I trained at one of the world’s top conservatoires, the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and I am extremely passionate about every child and adult having the opportunity in life to learn music. I am punctual, dedicated, hard-working and patient with all of my pupils.
I provide in person and online lessons. I have a fast WiFi connection at home and an iPad Pro to ensure good visual and audio.
I am more than happy to wear a mask for in person lessons if this is required by the customer. I also always recommend we have ventilation.
