My son has developed such a passion for learning music since starting here last September. I can't beleive how much he's learnt in such a short time. I saw him perform infront of an audience today for the first time and i was amazed at the ease in which he was performing his instrument and the confidence. Highly recommend Perfect Notes Music School. Thank you very much.

Music lessons at £48 per hour. Hi, I'm Simon. I work as a music tutor and freelance musician in Northamptonshire. I sing, play piano and a variety of stringed instruments. I have gained extensive knowledge and experience writing and performing music over the last 22 years. I have been teaching music to children and adults for over 17 years. During this time, I have come to understand that each student responds to music differently and learns in their own unique way. I approach every student on an individual basis and I believe this is the most successful way to cater to their specific learning needs. My goal is to ensure I get the best results out of each and every student - whether this involves studying music theory and practicing from grade books or just having fun while learning a cover song or writing a piece of music together. I aim to create a laid-back and fun atmosphere during lessons, while still maintaining structure and focus. Music is a huge part of my life and I wouldn’t be who I am today without it. I take great pride in sharing what I know with anyone who is keen to learn and enjoy music.
I get to spend all my time immersed in music, which has been my main passion since the age of 15. The fact that I get to share this with others is a privilege and doesn't really feel like work to me.
I'd always been teaching part-time as a side job for a bit of extra cash. When demand for my service increased, I bit the bullet and went full-time. I love it and haven't looked back since.
I'm great with people. I get on really well with young children and adults alike. It's one thing to be knowledgeable and skillful in what you teach but that means nothing if you're not personable. I'm very friendly and easy going and make lessons fun while still getting the important work done.
I offer lessons online and in person. I'm happy to travel within a ten mile radius of Kettering to my student's homes if needed. Online, I usually teach via Zoom but I'm happy to use any platform that suits my student.
I became an online service as a result of covid-19 and that is of course the safest option that I can provide. I am however fully vaccinated and happy to teach in person. I'm perfectly comfortable with wearing a mask and sitting at a distance during the lesson and taking any other measures to insure that my students feel comfortable and safe.
