What do you love most about your job?

Being able to pass on a skills to pupils, to enable them to enjoy a lifetime of making music is an honour and a privilege.

What inspired you to start your own business?

My own teacher Mrs E Armitage was an inspiration, and I wanted to follow in her footsteps.

Why should our clients choose you?

Skills with young people, patience, reliability, caring and nurturing personality.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

Yes. Since the Covid restrictions began, all my pupils are now currently online. Since teaching online began in March 20, there are many of my pupils who will choose to remain learning remotely, as this method as the advantages of being more convenient for parents living further afield, struggling to travel to in person learning venues.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

Where restrictions allow, and for in person teaching, pupils wash their hands before they enter their lesson or touch the piano keys. All keys are disinfected between use of pupils. I am able to maintain a one meter distance. Pupils bring their own books, stationery and any other equipment required. Parents must wear face masks to pick up and drop off their children, and do this from the outside areas.
However, since March 2020, most of my lessons have been online.
