Whilst classically trained, I also play in a couple of touring bands, so am equally comfortable teaching rock, pop and jazz as classical. I am happy to teach both adults and children, as well as beginners to intermediate. Most lessons are at my house in the Jersey Farm area of St Albans, but I am able to go to students' houses in certain circumstances. I also offer online lessons through Zoom.

We take all the stress of finding, matching and organising the best available tutor for your child. You just tell us what you need and what you would like to achieve and we will do the rest. Our Story: Our founder, a qualified teacher with 22 years experience and mother of two young children, faced the exact same issues as most families experience today; lack of quality private tutoring and online platform services that do not take into consideration your child’s learning needs.

I started taking guitar lessons at The Musiclab because although I had a guitar for some time, I just wasn't motivated enough to practice and learn on my own. I have been taking lessons for two years now and love it. I am in a group with some great people and really enjoy the lessons. My playing has improved massively. Musiclab also encourage all their students to play live in their Gigs. I had never thought of playing before with others but I love it! It is such fun and the atmosphere is so kind and well natured!

The challenge to help others overcome one of the most difficult arts there is, to play the piano well. I love to use my brain and love problem solving; everyone who comes for lessons has different needs and issues whether it be technical, musical or inquisitive by nature, there is no problem I have not helped solve for a student. I also adore performing and my concert tours, having taken me all over the world, have resulted in an even greater passion to pass on my knowledge.
Ever since I was 12 years old I knew I wanted to be a professional classical pianist in all its forms. It was never an option to me to be anything else.
Every lesson is considered and planned with a focus on a variety of skills that are important to succeed as a musician and pianist. From aural training, to technical exercises that I tailor to each individual; every lesson will have a little of something. Theory is also a huge part of learning the piano and a focus on this too can be useful when it comes to trying to memorise pieces, that would otherwise be very difficult.
