Piano for Beginners

Buckinghamshire

I'm a visiting piano teacher where lessons are taken place in your own home. Lessons are generally 30 minutes long and can be extended to 45minutes as well. I currently have some students who are working towards passing their grades while some others prefers to play for their own entertainment without doing grades. I teach all ages and from all different musical background, whether you are a beginner or at an intermediate level. Lessons include some technical exercises to improve strength and dexterity in fingers, a vast repertoire of pieces to improve musical knowledge and reading and some mini musical games at the end of the lesson to help improve musical knowledge.

What do you love most about your job?

I have always wanted to be a piano teacher since I turned 15. I love being able to share my passion and my musical knowledge with people. It's such a big joy to me when my students accomplishes a difficult task I have given them or when they understand how to play or do something specific on the piano. I love being able to interact with children and older students too, to help them improve as musicians and pianists.

What inspired you to start your own business?

My own piano teacher inspired to start my own private piano lessons. He's always been very supportive when I told him I wanted to also be a piano teacher. I just love the fact that I am able to share a skill that I have developed to give to other people too. And, I like the fact that everyday I am surrounded by music, it's like a second home to me.

Why should our clients choose you?

I'm a young piano teacher and I have been teaching for over seven years now. I interact very well with young students as well as older ones too (I teach adults as well)! Most of the students that has started with me, are still with me to this day and they are currently passing their own graded exams.

I'm very patient with students and I make the lessons very enjoyable for them. We work on a lot of different repertoire in the lessons, listen to music together and analyze it and do little musical games to help improve a skill. I am always available outside of lessons if a student is having some difficulty with a task.

Many of my students have passed practical grades with Merits and Distinctions also.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

I use Zoom or Skype to run lessons online. If a client has covid-19, we do the lesson online instead so that they do not miss on their lesson week.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

During the pandemic, I ran my lessons online. When we were able to resume face to face tutoring, I asked clients to wash their hands and clean the piano. We also wore facemask during lessons.
