‘20 Certificate of Excellence

I am a social photographer working in North Wiltshire but covering south England, including London. I offer professional wedding and portrait photography, also company headshots and passport photography. Using my experience I search out the best lighting for all the different types of photography that I do; I work quickly and efficiently and you will be surprised at the images I get that you were completely unaware were taken!

What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?

For people photography look for the light first, then work on getting a natural looking expression. Background and posing are also important and if all 4 are good, then you've got a winner!

What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?

What and who are your pictures for? How comfortable are you with posing in front of the lens? If not, then I work quickly and efficiently and will keep talking and trying to relax you. I hate photographers who are forever looking at the back of their camera - it's very rude!

What do you love most about your job?

I love meeting new people and just love seeing their expressions when they see the pictures I've taken.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I've been interested in photography from childhood, working with mainly B&W film and processing in the darkroom. Around the year 2000 I went to night school to learn more and then friends kept asking me to take pictures of various events. I then realised I was a "photographer" and decided to go professional.

Why should our clients choose you?

I have many years experience of taking people pictures. I listen to my clients to find out what they really want and treat everyone as special. All the pictures I take are individually processed (don't ever choose someone who doesn't process the images as they will all need something done to them). I love my work and am enthusiastic to get the absolute best pictures I can, whatever the situation. I hope, by looking at my website, that you can see the sparkle in the eye!

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

For people photography we need to meet in person, but for product photography it should be possible to work remotely, if you send your products to me and give me a good briefing as to what you are looking for.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

When we are not in "lockdown" I am able to meet up with families and individuals outside to take some lovely natural pictures. I will be able to keep 2 metres apart but can still get close ups because I have a variety of lenses! Should we need to take pictures inside I will wear a mask if not able to keep a 2m distance and ask that other adults also wear a mask, apart from when I'm taking pictures. If you come here to our house I have a Covid safe routine of cleaning all touch points before and after a client has called.
