The secret to taking a great photograph, there is no one right way to take a great photograph. For me it is working with your surroundings and client to establish what it is that they are wanting to achieve from the images I'm taking as no one client will want the same image as another. Questions I will be asking a client when undergoing a project for them all depend on the type of shoot we are trying to achieve.
