Tyrone, I work throughout Ireland north and south. I hold a Licentiate from the Irish Photographic Federation and have gained a Distinction at HNC level 4 for photography, I have also won various awards for individual images over the 10+ years I have been practising the art of photography.

From the beginning of our engagement, my now-husband and I agreed we did not want a photographer for our August 2014 wedding. This was in large part due to my awkwardness in formal photography situations! In the weeks leading up to the day however, we began to rethink, and looked into the possibility of booking a professional photographer.
Mark worked to put me at ease from our first meeting. He developed a bespoke package with us to suit our budget and talked about what type of photos we would like to represent our day. He had practical suggestions to help me feel more comfortable in front of the camera and on how to take pictures outside without ruining my dress. The engagement shoot we had on his suggestion really helped get rid of some of my nerves and see what lovely pictures we could have.
Despite all this I was still pleasantly surprised at how many beautiful photos we have. They surpassed all our expectations! Mark captured our guests looking relaxed and happy, particularly my Granny who I wasn't sure would make the wedding because of her poor health.
Although we thought we remembered everything from the day, there were lots of bits we had forgotten about that Mark captured, and it was lovely remembering all over again.
We both really love the photos and are so glad we decided to book Mark. We highly recommend him to any couple planing their wedding, even those who hate cameras!
Truth. Strip back the props, dress simply but beautifully and just shine for your photographs. My best images are always my simplest as they focus on only the subject allowing your little ones to shine and highlighting relationships within a family. I do use props when I need to relax a family, my favourites are bubbles, books and cuddles with teddy bears but when asked, I will nearly always choose natural images out over styled images when picking my personal favourites.

Meeting families and freezing time for them. Photography is not only for sharing in the moment, it is most powerful for later on in life when we want to look back and remember what life was like right now. It's for grandchildren and great-grandchildren to discover hidden in boxes or hanging on granny & granddads walls. They are the ones who will treasure it most. We all need to be photographed well and photographed often. Our most precious ability, in my opinion, is our memory and it needs a hand now and then. Photographs and Film are a great way to bring happy days and happy times floating back again x
I have very few images of my mum that are truly beautiful because she was always the photographer in our family and therefore very seldom in the photograph, we only ever got photographed as a group on big family occasions by a professional photographer, there was never any image taken to highlight her and show who she was. She passed away when I was 17 and although I often had a camera in my hand from well before then, I often feel I became a photographer because I want to make sure every mum and dad are present in their photographs for their children to hold onto when they can't hold on to you any longer.
I want to capture real, treasurable, lasting memories for you to hold onto and that is my main purpose as a newborn, toddler & family photographer. Your day to day memories are your own to safeguard but allow me to make sure that your families history is peppered with beautiful images captured professionally that you can keep for all time. I will make you laugh and maybe a little uncomfortable at times in order to bring out your true smiles and your real connection.
