What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?

There isn't really a secret as such, however being in the right place at the right time does help. As well as knowing the procedures of whatever you are photographing. Also building a rapport with the people that you are shooting is also a great way to ensure you create a great photograph

What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?

What target audience are you aiming for?
Do you want something "catchy" or the "standard" type shot/s?
Are you open to ideas on how to best get the shot you are looking for?

What do you love most about your job?

Being able to be creative and supply the client with special memories of the day/event. Capturing the beauty of a person and making them feel special.

What inspired you to start your own business?

A lot of local photographers have a "this is what I do and how much it will cost" mentality, whereas I focus on what the client NEEDS. That could be available for 4-5 hours (in the case of a wedding to cover the ceremony up to the first dance) to delivering the images digitally in the absence of an album.

Why should our clients choose you?

Having spent 30 years in public facing roles, I am aware that the client may want something that is unique to them. With my ability to adapt to the circumstances that each brief details, I can tailor each session/package to suit the needs of the client. Thus given a more personalised service
