The Moggy Minder

Kent

Whether your trip is long, short, booked in advance or last minute, I will be there when your cat needs a feed and a fuss in the Thanet, Herne Bay and Whitstable area. The Moggy Minder service is run solely by myself, I do not employ anybody else, so you needn't worry about a stranger coming to your home to care for your little ones. When you know the dates you will need me, call, email or fill in the form on the contact page and I'll get right back to you. We'll arrange a day for me to pop round and meet your cats, and to establish their normal routines as I will follow these as closely as possible whilst you are away. You can fill me in with all the little habits about your cat(s) and also inform me of any medication to be administered, grooming routines or special diets etc... I'll pop the dates in my diary and look forward to spending time with your moggies and you can enjoy the peace of knowing that they will be safe and happy in my care. When you return, you can be assured that you will have a happy catty to greet you. I can also make sure that you'll have a fresh pint of milk and a cut loaf ready for your return for a small fee if required. The cost is simple; each time I visit there's a fee of between £7-£13 which can vary depending on your location and number of pets. There is also a premium rate for bank holidays, Easter, Christmas Day, Boxing day and New Years Day. For the fee, I will feed, fuss over, play with, and groom your cats. I will wash and dry their food and water bowls and change any litter trays. My visiting sessions are morning and evening, it's up to you if you would like 1 or 2 visits per day. Payment can be made by bank transfer or cash before you go away and I will make sure to post your keys back to you once you are home. This service is tailored exactly for you and your cats, I aim to work out the perfect plan before you go so that your pets routine is not disturbed and they are as happy as they can possibly be whilst you are away. You supply their usual food, treats, and any litter, and I supply genuine love and care as if they were my own. I also cover the care of other small animals (e.g guinea pigs, hamsters etc.) on request. Please do not hesitate to ask.

What do you love most about your job?

The bottom line is, I love cats. I currently have two of my own, Billy and Moggy, and my Mum looks after my first cat Muffin who was so settled when I fled the nest I didn't think it fair to move her.

After feeding cats as a favour for years I decided to start a business to feed all of your cats too!

What inspired you to start your own business?

When it came round to trips away I used to get really upset about leaving my feline babies behind and have never wanted to ship them off to a cattery as feel it can be so distressing for them.

Cats are extremely territorial animals, they love their familiar scents, their cosy bed, (or yours...!) And their home comforts. This is where my service comes in handy, as they will never have to leave them!

Cats, although by nature are independent, do still crave human interaction and if it's something they've been used to they can miss someone being around. Having to rely on the goodwill of a friend or neighbour to come in and feed them when you're away can also be a nuisance. That is why having a cat sitter is a fantastic alternative as your cat will get individual quality attention and love during visits rather than a quick stroke and a pouch of food.

Why should our clients choose you?

The Moggy Minder is available on public holidays, Christmas, New Year and will go above and beyond to make sure your furry friends are as comfortable and loved as can be!
