After a long debate with myself I finally came to the conclusion that my wardrobe wasn’t making my clothes shrink over night and that H&M weren’t putting the wrong size labels on my clothes, but indeed the few Christmas mince pies where still clinging on making my clothes a little bit to snug for my liking! As I was scrolling through Facebook, I stumbled upon an advert for A.P.T’s ‘4 Week Introduction Program’. I thought great, something a little different that looks a little bit of fun. So, I filled out the form, not really thinking I would get much of a reply, but to my amazement I got a call from Mark (Head Coach) the very next day about doing some sessions and seeing what I can do. I never really expected to have a one on one conversation about what goals and expectations I want to achieve as I have NEVER had this type of commitment from any gym I had joined before - This is when I knew Athletic Performance Training was not going to be one of your bog standard, every day boring gyms. After chatting to Mark and going through my goals, I joined that week! Excited and yet very nervous, I walked into the gym not really knowing what to expect. My nerves where soon calmed by the other members of the A.P.T team, knowing I was a new face in the group they all came and said hello. I have now been a member of Athletic Performance Training since February 2018. And just to remind you, I joined with the intention to lose weight and get fit - Since joining, my results have gone through the roof and more importantly my confidence has come back! I’ve lost 8KG of body weight, my body fat % has gone down to 20.5%, muscle mass has gone up to 2.5KG an I’ve lost 4 inches round my waist and 7 round my hips! I started off with a 4 week introduction and haven’t stopped going back since. Burn was the main class I did, and I absolutely loved it and still do to this day. The family atmosphere at the gym is something else I have been looking for. Conventional gyms do not offer that so by being at A.P.T, I was able to get right into a session with full support from everybody else including Mark. I have always loved the gym and being active and wanted to create fitness programmes that can be fun, effective and fit in and around daily life. I am a mum of 2 children and due to numerous reasons over 7 years I gained 6 stone. When I was 39 a switch flicked and I set myself a fitness and fat loss target to reach before I was 40, which I achieved. Then during lockdown 1, March 2020 I started working out with my kids at home. I lost 4 stone from March 2020 to November 2020. But have lost 6.5 stone in total since January 2019. I have had blips along the way, we all do, we are human after all. It’s getting ourselves back on track and getting moving that can be the hardest part. But when you do get moving and see the progression and changes in your body and with that comes changes emotionally and mentally, they are just amazing! So, what is it that The Body Tracker does? The Body Tracker runs online workouts and outdoor Driveway Drills sessions. So, if you can’t get to an outdoor session, you could join the private online Members workout section on the website and join the private online Facebook group, where you'll get to know me more and other members whilst you exercise in the privacy of your own home at a time that suits you. Or do both!
I listen as to why each new client wishes to join my workout sessions as each client has different goals. It could be fat loss, wanting to improve overall fitness, has a distance goal in mind, needs someone to help them be accountable and keep them motivated or it can be just purely because they love to workout.
Whatever the reason for the goal is I ask each client to do 3 things..... Imagine, Believe and Achieve.

Having a big goal can make it feel and seem daunting so I like to break those big goals down into smaller ones. That way each time you hit a smaller goal you feel more motivated to move onto the next!

My own personal body transformation journey going from a size 20/22 to a size 10/12 losing 6.5 stone, inspired me to start my own fitness business.

Online sessions are done within the privacy of the clients own home / surroundings.
Outdoor Driveway Drills sessions have limited spaces so clients have space, all equipment is santised before and after each workout, hand sanitiser and alcohol wipes are provided for use during the sessions and if clients do not feel well I ask they do not attend and should they advise me they are poorly and have Covid-19 that they let me know so that i can advise close contacts who were on the same outdoor sessions but do not advise which client it is.
