My time with JC has been incredible so far. With constant feedback and suggestions, it always feels like he's doing more than just his job because he actually cares for the outcome and well-being of his clients.
I needed to workout at home, he accommodated, worried about my form on an exercise, he taught me the correct way to do it, I was struggling for many weeks getting the form on a particular exercise, he replaced that with something I'd prefer that still targeted the same muscles. This approach to make the workout as appealing for the client is what I really love, it's never too much trouble to switch things around to make sure that you enjoy the overall experience.
I've now gone from pressing 20kg on my office floor to an actual gym pressing 45kg on a barbell and bench, JC sets you up so you always feel like you're equipped to tackle the whole fitness space, and it never feels like he holds information back, if he knows it (and he knows a lot) and it'll help, he'll let you know.
The OnsidePT app that JC uses is incredibly useful at tracking all food through linking to myfitnesspal, tracking weight changes and tracking all your workouts, exercises and exactly when and how to do them. You even get a nice notification when you complete a certain amount of workouts or beat your personal bests which is always rewarding. This makes the whole experience that much easier and more fun, it also means JC can constantly see how your workouts are going, and keep in touch about it. Including feedback every week to keep you on track with your goals.
Having a person to hold me accountable, constantly keep me pushing but understanding that everyone is human and has off days is just what I needed to help me feel comfortable going forward with my more healthy life. I reccomend JC to anyone, he will help change your life around what ever fitness problems you're facing and encourage you to be an even better person overall, while being a great dude to just have a chat too aswell in-between your sessions. I was in the process of training for the London Marathon 2011 earlier this year and was a little lost in my training and needed a bit more direction. I felt I needed to give serious thought to my diet and other types of exercise apart from running. I was looking to seek advice from a personal trainer and Jurga was recommended to me.
I firstly met with Jurga to discuss my diet, this was then followed by a gym session where we specifically worked on the areas that I wanted to target i.e. core strength, stability and stretching as I was concerned about getting injured.
I received honest and practical advice from Jurga - as a working mum I haven’t got a lot of time. I received advice on how to improve my diet to benefit my training and to keep my energy levels up which has been of great help and benefit to me. The gym session was also invaluable to me and the exercises I was shown were 100% geared towards my requirements.
Since meeting with Jurga, I have successfully completed the London Marathon, have lost a few pounds in weight and am now looking to run my next marathon in Sept. My eating habits have improved immensely and I feel much happier for it.
I would definitely recommend Jurga’s services for sports nutrition and exercise.
