My mum is 77. After a life threatening battle with Covid in 2021 and a stroke 12 months later, my mom’s physical and mental wellbeing had severely deteriorated. She experienced significant muscle wastage, a loss of short memory and some cognitive function.
Elisa started training sessions with my mom over a year ago. She uses body weight, dumbbells and bands to keep the sessions varied and interesting for my mum. After finishing my time there, I had not only left with a completely different body composition, but I left with new motivation, inspiration and a drive to be better in other areas of my life, and that came from repetitive sessions with JJ. He's a great person to be around, his drive to be better every day rubs off on you.
From a training perspective, JJ is very attentive on your progress and will push you to be better every week. The private gym/studio is a rarity in London so you feel that you are getting a lot of benefits from training with him there.
It was a shame to stop training after my time there as we had progressed so much (I had moved away from London). I came out feeling healthier and stronger, but also left having got to know a great person who I can call a friend!

Build muscle! That ‘tone’ most women desire is actually muscle and can be achieved through progressive lifting of weights and resistance training. BUT you do not have to spend hours and hours at the gym! With consistent training 2-3 a week and regular walking within a year you can make some massive changes.
Be (somewhat) patient. People over estimate what can be achieved within 3 months and under estimate what can be achieved in a year!

Personal training is my second career! Previously, I worked in technology consulting. I discovered that strength training really helped me manage my stress levels and mental health when I went back to work after maternity leave.
Going on this personal journey inspired me so much, that I decided to leave the corporate world in 2018, and in 2019 created and launched the Strong Ambition Method, where I re-trained as a Personal Trainer/fitness instructor/weightlifting coach.
