ABOUT ME: I have been in to fitness for the past 22 years and originally qualified as a fitness instructor in 2003. At this time I took the qualification so I could understand fitness for my own personal training whilst I pursued a career in finance. I really wanted to start boxing and kickboxing with a knowledgeable trainer and was recommended Igor by another PT I trained with.
My fitness and endurance has improved massively since starting my training with Igor. I had always disliked cardio (or anything that raised my heart rate too much or made me out of breath!) and to start off with I could barely get through a 3 minute round of pad work with Igor but now I can go the full 12 rounds...i'm red, sweating and out of breath by the end of it but it's definitely got much easier.
My endurance is better than it has ever been and the added conditioning (although hideous at times) has also really helped and I've included it with my weight training I do at the gym.
My boxing has improved since I started my sessions and I've learned lots of skills.
I sometimes say that Igor's sessions are part fitness, part therapy. He has hugely improved my general mindset towards health, fitness and nutrition with his ongoing advice and encouragement to change my mentality from negative to positive. He makes me work hard and push through when I want to give up. I never regret a session with Igor.
Igor is so focused on his clients and their needs. He is the best PT I've ever trained with, in terms of his commitment to his clients outside of the gym. He checks in, gives encouragement and advice, suggests changes and keeps you motivated in and out of your PT sessions with him. He has shared workouts for me to do at my own gym when I'm not boxing, talked through nutrition and supplements with me and recommended equipment. He has also given me exercises to complete to strengthen my wrists to help my boxing sessions.
I've often told Igor that what truly sets him apart from other trainers is his commitment to his clients outside of the gym. He is always approachable for advice and he seems to be able to sense when you need a bit of encouragement or support and will check in either by text or phone.
My sessions with Igor have had such a positive impact on my attitude towards fitness and my goals. My boxing sessions have become like therapy for me and I am so grateful for all the support Igor offers. My husband always comments on how much happier and positive I am after my sessions.
He has helped with my nutrition and other areas of my lifestyle and I will often think when I'm making choices in my daily routines "what would Igor say" or "what would Igor suggest".
Igor is also full of knowledge. He is constantly seeking his own self improvement through reading and research and he is always happy to share this with his clients to help them with their goals.
He shares ideas of books to read or listen to, that help with subjects like motivation, nutrition, procrastination, habit forming amongst other things.
His unwaivering positive attitude is infectious and he always offers encouragement to me to really maintain a positive attitude towards all areas of my lifestyle.
He is also very dedicated to his own nutrition and training and so uses this experience and expertise to provide guidance as well.
