How do you help your clients achieve their fitness goals?

Personal Training is 'Personal' so first things first we ensure that we match you with the most appropriate member of the team. After all if you don't 'gel' with your trainer you will dread the sessions and more than likely end up cancelling.

Once we have the right fit, our trainers will conduct a consultation with you. During this consultation the trainer will go through your training history, your goals and any injuries or medical conditions that you may have.

After this, the trainer will take you through a training session. The first session is when we as trainers work the hardest as we need to gauge your fitness levels in a short space of time. Once we have completed your first session we will have a good idea on what your strengths and weaknesses are can then plan your future sessions more appropriately.

Every client is different so we don't use a one fits all approach. We taylor the exercise programmes to suit you. We also take into consideration your personality, its no good allocating you a military style trainer if what you need is gentle encouragement.

What’s the secret to getting the body of your dreams?

Unfortunately there is no correct answer to this. As everyone has a different opinion of what the 'perfect body' is. I'm sure at some point in your lives you have come across a friend/work colleague who in your opinion has an amazing body. However they spend their days complaining how they hate their body!

The bottom line is, if you tell us what your goals are, such as I want to lose my stomach or I want smaller legs or I want to build large biceps we can then show you the best way to get what YOU want. But whatever your goals are, to get the body of your dreams will always take hard work and determination. You will have highs and lows but if you stick with it you will reap the rewards.

What do you love most about your job?

As cheesy as it sounds I love seeing clients transform. There is nothing more rewarding than to see someone change. Not necessarily just their body size or shape but their confidence, energy levels and general wellbeing.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I have been a personal trainer for over 15 years and after I first qualified, I worked for 5 years at a large gym chain. It was here that I met my now wife.

Unfortunately most gyms treat their members just as a number. But we were passionate about wanting to help those people who had less confidence in the gym and struggled with motivation.

In 2006 we decided to leave the gym and set up Evolution Health & Fitness. Back then there were not many Personal Trainers offering home training but we knew that not everyone liked or wanted to go to the 'gym'. So we decided to take the 'gym' to them.

10 years on and we have recently opened the doors to a Personal Training Studio in Letchworth. (Studio 180). We are now able to offer training at home and for those that can't or don't want to train at home we have a 'gym' environment which is exclusive to Personal Training.
