Although I’ve been cycling regularly for over ten years, and I’ve never felt uncomfortable on any of my bikes, I thought a ‘proper’ bike fit was long overdue especially as my mileage has been upped considerably over the past two ‘Covid’ years. Several friends had recently had bike fits and enthused over how much difference minor adjustments had made. I opted to have a bike fit on both my summer and winter bikes. Applying up to date technology, John completed a full assessment of my physique, cycling posture and position which helped him identify where adjustments were required to seat height / tilt, handlebar, cleat position, pedal spacing etc to ensure an optimum riding position for my needs. My bike fit lasted approximately 3.5 hours followed by another 45 minutes on another evening to replace a ‘cracked’ seat post on my summer bike discovered during the first fitting. John is very knowledgeable, friendly, extremely professional and patient in his approach. He took time throughout to explain and show what he was aiming to achieve. He rounded off the fitting with a further spell on the ‘watt’ bike to assess my pedal stroke technique / power output which enabled him to give additional tips on how to improve my pedalling. My expectations were well exceeded, and I came away not only with better fitting bikes, but a noticeably more comfortable riding position. I would have no hesitation recommending Ride to Race Coaching, not only to anyone who has never had a proper bike fit but also to any experienced cyclist buying a new bike. I’ll certainly go back to John when I get another bike. Many thanks John.
