What inspired you to start your own business?

“Sugar & Rind is all about putting the joy back into partying. I wanted to create something that would take away all the hassle of organising a party and make it super-fun and imaginative at the same time. Our motto is ‘We bring the party, you throw it’ - and that’s exactly what we do. From food and drink, to decorations and entertainment, we’re on a mission to make throwing a party ridiculously easy.'

Our Founder Philly Mackinnon is an events pro of 25 years. She wanted to make the planning of any event, super easy and enjoyable via her easy to use website.

Sugar & Rind has partnered and negotiated with carefully selected caterers, wine suppliers, DJ’s, furniture suppliers – basically everything you need for a fantastic party. Then we’ve put it all into one place to make it ‘shoppable’ for you! Absolutely no more liaising with multiple suppliers to put your party together. For the same price but zero hassle, you can use our ‘Build Your Party’ tool to order everything you need. Or Go Bespoke and we'll create something completely unique for you. We absolutely love to talk to our customers about their parties so please do give us a call. We are very keen to help and guide you through our service in person.

Cannot thank Sareh and the rest of the team at Star events design enough for making my wedding look so beautiful. They covered everything from aisle decor, decor for wedding breakfast tables, ceremony decor and Sofreh Aghd. All looked stunning and the attention to detail was incredible. Couldn't recommend enough!

We started working with Treasured Events about 9 months before our wedding day and I must admit that I had some doubts - they are such good value for money, offer so much within their packages and I thought it might be too good to be true. Michelle is friendly, down-to-earth and professional. She provided reassurance when I would voice my concerns, she was quick to respond and willing to have regular phone calls to keep me updated. She and Chris (who was equally lovely each time we met) drove to coffee shops to meet with us and show us the centre piece mock ups. On the day, I was absolutely blown away with how beautiful everything looked and had so many compliments from our guests and even our other vendors about how lovely everything looked. The value you get from Treasured Events for the prices they offer, I don't believe you can get anywhere else. They really put their all into their work and it's obvious to see how much they enjoy doing events. In addition to providing the decor for my ceremony, reception AND throughout the venue, they came from the day before (unprompted!) to set it all up and provided a sweetie table, a chocolate fountain which my guests are still talking about weeks later and a magic mirror photobooth complete with a guestbook which was a huge hit. I cannot stress how wonderful it was to have worked with them and am sorry I had so many doubts. My cousin who is also getting married this year is absolutely gutted that they are all booked up for her wedding day and wishes she would have booked them sooner. If you're considering booking Treasured Events, please, for your sake, don't delay - just book them. Wonderful company, wonderful couple, wonderful care for your wedding day.
