Canterbury
Doctoral Physics Researcher with 8 years of teaching experience. My unique approach to tutoring was inspired by the teaching methods of many world-class teachers that supported me through my long academic career. It is particularly effective in students lacking confidence or motivation and that are underperforming at the early stages of their career (GCSE/NAT5 & A-Level/SNH).

Every child needs a cheerleader, a teacher who understands them and champions their achievements. I believe that every learner can access mathematics with the right attitude and mindset. I want pupils to enjoy learning mathematics, so they can see the beauty and intricacy of the subject and achieve success that is palpable. I enjoy being a guide through problem-solving questions, discussing concepts, addressing maths anxiety and exploring connections so pupils can see the relevance of what’s being studied.
I love seeing my students' confidence and enjoyment rise in the subject. The excitement when they finally nail the topic they've been struggling with makes my job so incredible, and I love providing my students with the opportunity to achieve their potential in Maths, and boost their grade, confidence and enjoyment.
I have grown up around tutoring my whole life as my mother is a GCSE maths tutor, and I myself have received tutoring throughout my academic life, so I know and appreciate the true importance of external support, and what a great impact it has on the student.
My aim in lessons is to help students with topics in maths that they may be struggling with and to help build their confidence in a subject many are apprehensive about. I am always willing to adjust my tutoring methods to best support my students, and always prepare my lessons in advance to have the most efficient and beneficial sessions possible. I am always available throughout the week outside of lessons if my students have any quick questions on material covered in class or homework set that they may not fully understand.
I offer my tutoring sessions online via Microsoft Teams, and am always available throughout the week if my students have any quick questions for me.
