What is capoeira? Originally created by African slaves in Brazil, capoeira is a celebration of life in the face of everyday struggle. The circular and evasive movements of capoeira, combined with a rich tradition of music and dance, place it in a unique position as an art that always poses the question: "Is capoeira a game, a fight or a dance?" Come and learn the movements, they will develop your confidence and fitness and will make you feel centred and balanced!

5 stars doesn't really get across just how good classes at Red Dragons are. My two children started in Sept 2018 and the difference in just a few months was amazing, they have both grown so much in confidence.
The classes looked like so much fun that my wife and I also signed up for lessons.
Lloyd is a great teacher and ensures there is such a positive learning environment to train in. I'd never considered learning a Martial Art before...but seeing just how good the classes were and such friendly people going along, I thought it was worth giving it a try. My fitness has improved at an unbelievable rate, and it is all done in such a welcoming atmosphere. I would recommend it to anyone.
Offering Wing Chun Kung Fu lessons Wing Chun is a balanced martial art which merits itself on being simple, direct and economic in its approach. Although it is a fighting art, fundamentally I teach it as a self-defence. It is a short distance close range system, which focuses on developing internal power that enables you to produce efficient low kicks, punches, palm strikes, elbows, sweeps, controlling and trapping techniques.

I attended this morning’s seminar and it was great. It was in the park and I left feeling really good, I was relaxed and very calm. Joe is very knowledgeable and explains the philosophy and benefits behind each movement, I always leave his class having learnt something new. Luckily for me Joe is always very patient because I often forget what he has told me and he has often had to remind me, sometimes repeatedly! He is just very calm and relaxing to be taught in a class by. His classes are a pleasure and the other attendees are also lovely people and if you attended you would not regret the decision. So to sum up come to a class it is life affirming.

Don't be put off joining a capoeira class because you're not a gymnast or acrobat. Beginners are not expected to be able to do cartwheels and handstands from the outset. However, your fitness will build from day one and after a few months of training, you might be surprised what you can do.
Ginga means 'sway' in Portuguese, and originally this move was an escape or retreat. Ginga is the most basic Capoeira step and the one from which all other movements stem, so it's worth getting it right.
What I love about teaching Capoeira is the interaction that I have with people from all differents back grounds.
There's nothing more pleasurable than seeing a student slowly growing and developing their Capoeira skill set day after day.
I love teaching Capoeira, my intention is always to help people gain confidence, self-steam, discipline or even make a new friend.
I launched because of my desire to make a difference. I wanted to work with others to help move them forward in profound ways in their lives. I know that I could offer the perspective, structure, support, and honesty others needed to make big transitions in their lives. This drives me to make a difference.
I have been doing Capoeira for over 20 years of my life.
I have been teaching for over 15 years, 8 years running classes in Cheltenham,
I have a vast experience running 1 to 1 classes or groups classes.
No matter the person age or backgrounds I'll work to develop the person Flexibility, strength, stamina, confidence and self-steam.
