The United Kingdom Wing Chun Kung Fu Assoc, was founded by Master James Sinclair in 1985. James began his training in 1972 and has gone on to become one of the most respected teachers available anywhere in the world. James is passionate about teaching this wonderful art and has produced many of the very best practitioners. He has a number of students who now live their lives as full time professional Wing Chun teachers.

First class teaching from the ground up i.e. using proper body structure, positioning and relaxation. I came back to training after a long layoff and the teaching quality was way better than I had ever experienced before. As I personally found, be prepared to be challenged on your technical skills by Sifu Mark Solomons if you have studied under less qualified instructors - it feels like learning the art again, but you come out after each lesson with greater skill if you are willing to apply yourself.

I have been training with Sensei Hudson for over ten years now and my children have studied here too. This is a friendly, welcoming club with ages ranging from under tens to over sixties and of all abilities, where everyone mixes well and gets on with each other in the dojo, often also becoming friends outside too. The excellent, effective and disciplined training, which is based on the traditional Ju Jitsu practiced by the Samurai, coupled with more contemporary street techniques, allows the student to become competent in self defence and more confident in their every day life. Sensei Hudson's no-nonsense approach is essential to ensure the integrity of the club and the safety of its students and whilst the wrong type of thin-skinned people who ask stupid questions can be put off by the 'old school' approach, if you are serious about learning a true martial art the proper way via someone internationally recognised and respected, with over 40 years experience in many forms of self defence, look no further.

I have trained at the UK Wing Chun Kung Fu Association for over ten years now under the tutelage of Master James Sinclair. The UKWCKFA offers a great range of classes for all experience levels, a postive and progressive atmosphere to train and learn in and instructors that are passionate and truly care about the art they're teaching. What really sets the UKWCKFA apart for me is the level of coaching offered by the Sifus who have many decades of experience amongst them. You're not just taught "by the numbers" but rather coached and helped to develop your skills accordingly. I continue to learn something every time I train and look forward to continuing to do so hopefully for many years to come!
