Chester Aikido Club has friendly students that were happy to spend time helping me as a beginner which made me feel very welcome thanks to the nice atmosphere and it takes place in a really nice facility. I have noticed Aikido isn't as common as other arts so it would be worth trying this club if you are interested in trying the art

Tong Liu is an amazing Sifu who makes everyone feel welcome. His attention to detail is outstanding and makes learning not only a pleasure but fun. For me personally Sifu has helped me improve my fitness over the past 3 years. I have been able to loose over 3 stones in weight and as a result I have now managed to go 2 years without any medication for asthma. I would recommend Sifu Tong Liu to everyone for private lessons, main class or even both as me and my children do. :)

17 Feb 2016As a 46 year old couch potato to walk into Hale youth centre to meet and speak to sensei Dave Williams took all the courage I could find. I'm so glad I did, I've not looked back. I have been going now for several weeks and everybody is friendly and I feel like part of the furniture , in such a small space of time. Dave is a very good teacher. He explains and demonstrates in great detail which has helped me progress. I am hoping to go for my first belt very soon. I am not only getting fitter but have a new set of friends and learning a new art. I highly recommend coming along and giving it a go. If I can do it so can you!
